I think it's a fresh reminder about what Laine CAN do in the right circumstances. So I'll agree with the OP that it could help reset some viewpoints.

I think the same thing about Erik Karlsson. He's show that he's every bit as capable of being the 100pt player as he was a couple years ago which also knocks Sullivan down a peg as EK65 is yet ANOTHER example of a guy who withers away under him.

I think teams with good cores that a strong supporting cast member should be interested in both of them.

Laine showed us what everybody who follows him already know. And that is that if you surround him with solid players he can deliver as was seen with some nice plays and a few assists and point per game for the tournament. But Laine needs other good players arround him in order to get the best out of him. This was the best players he's been able to play with since he left Winnipeg. If you surround him with jobbers and cut his minutes like Columbus and Montreal have been doing you shouldn't expect much from Laine.
