I would doubt something like this would even be possible, don't both have NMC/NTCs?
They both have NMCs for the next two years.
For reference:
Ladd - https://www.capfriendly.com/players/andrew-ladd
Eriksson - https://www.capfriendly.com/players/loui-eriksson
So downgrade in every aspect save for physical play? A lesser skater, less consistent scorer, along with being a bit of a meat head on the ice.
Yeah I'll stick with Loui, I don't have a suspicion he won't break down in year 2 of this contract due to heavy wear and tear from his style of play.
The season is still early, but the Ladd I see right now is pure garbage. I have a hard time to believe that Ericksson cannot be just a little bit better!Eriksson

They're actually pretty similar when it comes to goal-scoring. I think Eriksson has the slight edge in playmaking, though.

Ladd in 17G in 59GP for Winnipeg, then had 8G in 19GP for Chicago, which means he had 25G in 78GP last year.
Ladd's not as good of a passer but he's better than Eriksson on the cycle, in the corners, and defensively. I could see Ladd and Sutter working well together.

I disagree with this. Eriksson is a very good 2 way player.
