Kings Article: LA Kings Rookie LW Tanner Pearson Might Be The Odd Man Out...For Now

Well, if he's the odd man out might as well send him down and save the cap space.

He will be okay - I think it just goes to show how hard the daily grind of the NHL is. He's still a young kid and he will keep improving. Toffoli went through the same thing and it looks like he has adjusted.

Absolutely.

May be useful to get a sidelines view of the game for once. We tend to forget this is a guy who just came in basically like King and Nolan did. Part of the learning curve and he'll be better for it.

@Rich_Hammond: Sutter doesn’t sound too worried about Pearson’s game: “He’s 22 and he’s played better than some of our 32-year-olds.â€

Take that Jarret Stoll.

Nothing wrong with getting a few games to re-focus... only problem I have is the list of player that should probably be benched before Pearson.

Williams
Brown
Lewis, unlike the previous names he tries hard, but can't shoot/pass
Nolan
Andy

Clifford/King have been playing alright.

just Deans way of making sure he signs for a low cap hit ha ha
can we negotiate already ?
maybe DL put him in the dog house and then signs him for a few years at 1.3-1.8m per year

That 1.3 or 1.8 can be spent on someone that actually produces something.

The kid started the season on absolute fire. Of course he's going to have a slump. He's still got some growing pains and even with the slump has scored more goals than almost anyone else on the team. He'll be fine. There are other guys I'd like to see a healthy scratch before Pearson. I really think TT and TP have a lot of promise for the team in the future.

Basically... Pearson is a bad ass mother ****er.

You(not you specifically) HAD to know going in that there was going to be at least ONE period of the season when it was going to drop off and people would start grumbling about the kid... But he can hockey like a mother****er and it will come back. Highs and lows but your average is your average for a reason.

Meanwhile, Pearson plays... AND SCORES...

Trevor Lewis, who can't shoot/pass... has FIVE shots through two periods... AND SCORES...
