Really good write up. I'm not in the room but it sounds like the players really like Pearson with the comments they made. Everyone seems to like him. Must be a really great guy.

“I like him, as a player, a lot,” Stoll exclaimed. “He’s fast. I don’t know if a lot of people realize how fast he is. He’s strong on the puck, he’s got good hands, a great shot, I’m sure you guys see it in practice, how hard he snaps the puck.”

Oh, I do. I saw him flying down the wing right in front of me in a game about a month ago and my jaw dropped. This guy can really motor.

That play he made in game 5 where he raced to retrieve the puck on the wing and pass to Toffoli for the score was a thing of beauty. Almost the same thing happened in game 7 where he raced down the wing, stopped on a dime, and made that great back-handed pass to Toffoli for the third crushing goal to basically end the series...this guy is going to be something special in this league. I can feel it.

Good pick. I wish he would speak more slowly and clearly because sometimes it's hard to understand him, but I like his determination and work ethic.

Sutter knows more than me

I was at game 7 tonight. Pearson was FLYING tonight in the first period but for some reason only played six minutes total! Look, Sutter clearly knows better than me... but I thought he was awesome tonight and I was surprised he road the pine most of the game. :shakehead

Most likely because Clifford/King/Richards/Lewis all played extremely well.

Vets are going to get the ice time when they are playing that well.

Loved the pick since the Kings announced it because we all knew he'd be an impact player very soon and he has been. He's gonna be so good in a couple years. That second line is gonna be real special.

He has that blazing look in his eyes like the NHL serial killers of old who scored on the rush...two of my most favorite old timers in Rocket Richard and Howie Morenz.

Dat vertical game...

Was a force last night. Love it because he was awful in Game 5. Huge bounce back game and now has two tremendous Game 7 performances under his belt.

I was surprised Sutter shortened the bench so early, but that turnover in game 5 or 6 might've had something to do with it. He went with the vets, especially once it got to 5-2 and the Ducks made that strong push. He made the most of that 6:10 of ice time.
