It wasn't a holdout. We wanted him to get no preseason ice time.
He waited to sign because spend so much time in SoCal.
 
Whatever you want to call it, I never got worked up about it, and neither did DL apparently.

I don't think it did any harm to miss rookie games before camp either. The competition among the young netminder prospects will continue. If Garon is a threat to his place on the depth chart, he has bigger problems.

It's just business.
