With a 6-1-1 record in their last eight games, with center Anze Kopitar totally dominant and on fire offensively, with forward Dustin Brown on a three-game goal scoring streak, and much more, the Los Angeles Kings are not just on a roll. They are peaking with the playoffs right around the corner.

Are they unstoppable now? Maybe, maybe not. But some of the players spoke with Frozen Royalty about why they're playing so well of late.

Fantastic. Interesting to hear the guys' take on the new players fitting in, and the push to take it to the next level. Scuderi's giving a calm presence to the younger D. When Ehrhoff went down and wasn't into talking about his future or his conversations with Dean, I had a feeling there was a trade brewing that he was expecting. Good trade.

Lombardi's acquisition timing from Philly is really starting to bear fruit. Not only are both players contributing, the chemistry is real, especially Lecavalier. We lost Stoll and Richards and somehow we upgraded.

Waiting for all the people who questioned the trade to comment here... where the stay-at-home internet general managers at?

This thread is baloney. Noted Kings' prognosticator John Ahlers said the boys are peaking way too soon, should have waited till about 5 games to go.

It's not that Lombardi's any smarter than me but he works so much harder than anyone else, he always seems to dig up more and thus know more. I trust that hard work he puts in to achieve his vision; I no longer bother question his strange-sounding decisions because I know he doesn't miss a thing and knows way more than I do.

Nicely put.
