Personally I think winning the awards means more to the fans than the actual players because of bragging rights. I don't think players actually care about winning awards, I think they would like some recognition though. That post by the NHL about the Hart leading scorers and not involving Kopitar is pretty pathetic. I don't think many players care, as long as they get maybe some pat on the back from the media every so often.


Im sure most players are like Kopitar who don't give a shit about awards and care more about the fact that they're performing and producing at a high rate.. Sure it's disappointing that our super stars get zero coverage. But I think that winning the award is the last thing on their mind.
