Anze has to be the best forward every game next year, like Doughty is always the best defense men. He didn't show up offensively in a lot of games this season.

I agree he didn't always play his best this year. But what are you expecting?
He lead the team in points by 12, which is 16% better than the closest person.
Produced just above his career average .91 points per game ave .89.
Lead all forwards in ice time and by more than 2 minutes.
Lead the team in the face-off circle.

If he wasn't the best forward on the ice for many games what does that say about the rest of the team?

Kopitar is the best Forward on the ice 90% of the time and thats for opposing teams as well...
Doughty on the other hand got burned repeated and made bad mistakes because of the ridiculous workload he's had going on 4 years now...Sutter is forced to play him hard, and Dean has not found a guys to replace Voynov which we sorely need...

We lost because our team's defense has bandaids all over with no real cure in sight unless Forbort and Gravel tear it next season....Also, lets not pretend that letting JDub didn't hurt us, or the fact that maybe sutter has run his course here...

Kopitar was isolated and dealt with against the Sharks because he was the only forward threat on the ice. Everyone else was on vacation and the Sharks didn't need to match anyone up against them. They could just have two-three dingleberries on Kopitar at all times and never paid for it.

Carter not being effective pretty much made Kopitar useless this post season.

It Happens, Kopitar still had a stellar season, one of his best if ask me.
