Yep give Slow Gus a few games.
Surprised by people being down on Heiny I mean I thought he has been great and will be better than chis. People will be down on whoever is in that 3rd line 6th man spot.
Yeah, I’m probably just feeling disappointment that he didn’t have a better night too.
He did some good shots on net and fought along the boards. He’s actually kind of fearless.
I expect that with Vegas we’ll see some of those bounces off the posts light the lamp.
A Heiny goal would be awesome..

Scheifele doesn't look healthy to me, maybe he needs to take a week off and deal with whatever it is he's dealing with. He's not helping the team out there right now.
Most likely strained tendons or ligaments in his wrist, he got in a fight. You need a lot of strong wrist action to snap that puck back thru your legs, on a faceoff. As others have said it could be hand problems as well. You would think if it's a hand issue, he wouldn't play, as it be hard to grip the stick and fire off a shot. I hope it heals fast.

I know I have strained ligaments in my wrist, and had trouble just lifting a cup of coffee. Your wrist loses all strength.

I don't think that second line is terribly well constructed. I thought maybe they just needed some time to gel, but they've been worse lately. The Jets have had stable forward lines for most of the season so far and the chemistry just doesn't seem to be there for that line. Everything seems just a bit off kilter. Swapping Kupari and Names is probably worth a shot.
The catalysts offensively of that line are supposed to be ehlers and perfetti. If Perfetti had as many 5v5 goals as Namestnikov no one would be saying anything about that line.

His shot has also lost some zip and he's not controlling the puck as well as he's capable of.

Maybe...I mean goal scoring solves a lot of problems, but I think there's something more fundamentally wrong with the line. They're not tilting the ice the way an Ehlers line usually does.

Just look at the schedule of all the teams and you will see it happens for several if not most of them.
And check their records during those stretches

When the Jets hit the skids last spring (right before their 7-0 streak to end the season), I compared their results during their crazy stretch of schedule with Dallas and Colorado when they had their crazy schedules earlier in the season

Guess what? Same results

Yeah like my thought is, try it for 5-10 games. We're in a good spot right now, and if it doesn't work out at least we tried.

Game reminded me of the 90s Devils. Ice looked like shit and there was so much clutching and grabbing and zero flow to that game. just put it behind you and move on
Agree about the ice. On my TV, it had that gray, soft, outdoor, natural ice in the spring look to it. I would imagine that the Kings are used to it (literally, home ice advantage). Hopefully, the ice in Las Vegas is better.
