He's 23, coming off 35 points in 55 games, and a RFA with no arbitration rights. Do the Blues sign him to a very short term deal where he'll remain a RFA or sign him to a 4-5 year middle of the road deal?

For a little comparison Schwartz scored 56 points in 80 games in 2013-14. He then signed a 2 year deal for 2.35m per season. That's a .7ppg pace. Kyrou's pace this year was .63ppg, so they're close.

Not sure which way Army will try to go on this one.

With Perron getting up there in years and Tarasenko a big fat question mark, I'd be fine with a longer deal that'd lock him up until he hits UFA, so 3-4 years at 3mill or so. The first half of the year the kid looked like a Calder finalist and I think a consistent line pairing would help him moving forward.

...or he gets traded in a package for an Eichel or Tkachuk, but that's a few steps ahead of ourselves.
