Supposedly, from what I have read and am trying to understand, this is an insurance pickup in case Rodriguez has to miss any significant amount of time and to try and bridge to Wells/Bradish. But I'm still not hugely impressed. I was really hoping we could have figured out a way to get Castillo from the Mariners, but I'm assuming the price was too high. And so here we are. Elias loves shopping in the bargain bin and the waiver wire.
