Confirmed Trade: [CGY/PHI] Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

For Philly fans, how is Frost*? He's never broken 50 points, is 25 and on pace for 41 points this year. Pros, cons?

I have no reference for him, I've never watched him.

*I am assuming he's coming back based on all what is happening with players being taken out of games.
A polarizing player for fans (Philly dubbed authentic). He has a ton of skill, but Torts doesn’t really gel with that kind of player. He can make fancy passes, deke, and move in tight spaces, but he’s not a grind it out and win board battles type of player. Give him room to work and make mistakes and k think you’ll have yourselves a 60+ C that will be on your first powerplay. The flyers messed him up, so there’s that risk.

Not as bad as his stats appear but not as good as hfboard flyers think he is, as he’s a bit of a golden boy there for some reason. Frost has both underachieved while also not being put in the best position to succeed. If he’s gone I wish him the best and wouldn’t be surprised if he maybe hits 60 points but he clearly isnt going to move the needle for the Flyers in the future

There’s a lot of trauma involved I think…it’s hard to blame them.

Frost will undoubtedly be better and more productive on some other team with some other coach.

Frost has been in that organization for almost 8 years, his underachieving pre-dates Tortorella and that's part of why I made my comment, they just can't help but whine about him at every opportunity even though it's completely off-base most of the time. Their roster on paper is probably bottom quarter of the league (at best) since he took over and they sure as hell aren't underachieving compared to the players they have. Plus they have no goaltending. It's absolutely ridiculous to read their board and the comments in this thread.

Huska has a knack for developing defence. He's managed to teach Huberdeau to make better defensive decisions this year. Not a bad fit tbh.
