He's been a breath of the same air. They moved Provorov (malcontent), Hayes (malcontent), and Gauthier (malcontent), Walker (wouldn't resign), and seemingly Frost (toilet seat), while refusing to move any of the names one might move in a rebuild, like Laughton or Ristolainen. They signed functionally nobody this offseason, they aren't churning the waiver wire, they passed on Buium with the stated logic being "they already had enough small offensive defensemen", and we're now hearing rumblings that this mediocre roster is, in their view, 18 months from Cup contention, despite making no moves to raise the overall talent level.

Not a single move that suggests they have any plan to make this team materially better, constant crowing about "culture" and not "talent", a head coach who actively glorifies his lack of understanding of the offensive game.. It's not good, I'll put it like that.
