Just want to preface this by saying the idea isn't very popular on the Pens board, but I like it, so here it is.

Oilers get a 3 time Cup winning vet who regularly puts up 40 points with Sid, and the Pens get some cap relief and take a flier on a young winger who's struggled as of late.

Fire away.

Just my two cents, but the chemistry that Crosby and Kunitz have is pretty incredible, I don't see the point in breaking that up for someone like Yakupov IMO.

I'd gladly give up Kunitz for a draft pick, but I'd do it because we have young wingers who know and can play our system and step in. Yak's contract and issues don't appeal to me much. Don't think he'd be a fit with Malkin.

Disagree about the "chemistry"between Crosby and Kunitz but still not hot in it

Moving Kunitz isn't a "popular idea" on Pens board? I really, really doubt that.

If I was Edmonton I would rather waiver him.

I would argue is even less popular on the Oilers boards so we 'win'

Not for Yak.

If you don't believe it, by all means check out the roster thread on the Pens board.

Good. Keep Kunitz

Thanks for coming out. Bye. :)

/end thread.

Come on you even highlighted his statement where he says that it is not popular on the pens board but he likes it

On topic: HFOilers will say no, Chiarelli probably would say yes but Rutherford would not. Veterans on winning teams are liked as much by GM's than picks and prospects are by HFBoards posters.
