Played 30 games for the Caps a few years ago.

He had solid showing on WHC and very good end to the season with Slovan Bratislava (KHL). He's also RHD.

Possibly, but Zaitsev is better.

Both are not much physical, both RHD, Zaitsev younger but Kundratek with NA experience.

Both solid 2-way d-men.

Kundratek is a 3rd pairing puck mover with a little bit of powerplay upside. His best AHL years were when he was essentially filling the Alex Ovechkin spot on Hershey's powerplay.

This. I'd also like to add that he has a surprising amount of snarl to him. Not going to go out of his way to play physical, but isn't going to back down when challenged. I would be surprised if he made an NHL roster.
