Ceci needs to be scratched. Put in Broberg or Stretcher.
I had hoped to see Stecher in for Ceci but gave up when there was no effort by the coach to change it up. Other than fiddling with pairing partners, Knoblauch doesn’t seem interested in changing personnel. This in spite of seeing Stecher perform well in the little time given. Must be some back story here that we’re not aware of (lingering injury? zodiac sign? ???).

Stetcher isn't even with the team and hasn't been skating (with the main squad) for awhile. Broberg is practicing regularly with the team. I'm all for Stetcher too. The problem isn't Ceci right now- it's Nurse. VD also looks tired or slow- not sure which

Rishaug says he hasn't seen him (with the team or in the room) for awhile now. Have no idea what the story with him is

I wonder if he just headed out? Going from playing 18 mins a night to PB duty, I wouldn't blame him for leaving

Need some more physicality in this series to draw some retaliation penalties and wear the Stars down more. I am hoping the home crowd will charge the Oilers up a bit more for game 3 and 4.

Straight. Lines.

Play in straight lines tonight. Way too much buttonhook, stop, force pass through the middle. Dallas sticks are way too good. Skate, drive hard, can use the point, but play in straight lines and get things going towards the net.

Oil 4-3

I seen Stetcher walking out of the rink after our game 6 win vs Vancouver.

Rishaug seems full of it.

I thought the same thing

I mean, Rishaug is at every practice and every game. All the practice line ups don't have Stetcher in them- it's always Broberg. Rishaug also sits in press row- so he sees who is there. Gazolla has mentioned it too- that he hasn't seen Stetcher. Maybe you saw someone else?

And they pulled that crap on crappy ice where the puck slows down a ton as you pass it.

As an extreme Ceci hater, he's been playing better since the pairing tweaks.

That being said, the answer of why his spot in the lineup is never in doubt is quite clear; team nepotism and favoritism. Despite Ceci being a large man, he loses every puck battle, has a terrible stick, zero cap control, but is still revered by the coaching staff/management over stecher because size.

Same with VD, who's actually incredibly weak for a man his size and isn't really punishing.

All that aside, we've been playing lights out defensively for 4 straight games (outside of some stupid brain farts at the beginning of each game).
