Confirmed Trade: [NYR/ANA] Chris Kreider and 2025 4th for Carey Terrance and 2025 3rd

Bend them over lol. You have absolutely no clue. It’s two years at 6.5. If anyone said Kreider would be traded for this package last off season it would’ve been an absolute steal and that was with 3 years left. He has one injury season where he still managed 22 goals has 2 years left at not that big a cap hit and now it’s bending them over. Where is the middle ground? You are delusional.
I'm also referring to the Trouba trade and the fact is that the NYR want/need to get rid of CK and if you are a GM you not only advance your interest but don't go out of your way to advance another teams interest way more.

If he can teach Colangelo, Sennecke, and to a lesser extent McTavish to crash the net and pot goals in close its worth it. Hopefully Colangelo can be a poor man's version of prime Kreider. If he can learn to be a net front guy from one of the best, this trade is worth it. Ducks are giving up (hopefully) a 4th+ round pick and a prospect that probably isn't in their top 10 before this upcoming draft. There just aren't enough spots for some of these kids.

Good news, CK kills penalties and was one part of his game that managed to do well last year. Four SHG last season.
Im all for the add, as long as we didnt give up anything of value... should be a solid addition to our PP/PK... and if he bounces back a bit, id say he has a legit chance to lead our team in goals.

Not a huge Kreider fan like some NYR fans but obviously know his game well.

Last year is a tough one to judge. I doubt he bounces all the way back to the prior 2-3 year form, but I doubt he’s as bad as last year either. He’s an experienced vet who will have a role on a young team. Even in an awful aeason he can pot 20+, I bet he hits 30-35 next year. He’s a fair penalty killer, a good PP net front player, can still skate very well even if he is no longer elite like he once was. 6.5 isn’t a massive cap hit and the term is not a problem. It’s probably a win for Anaheim. NYR are clearly desperate to shake things up, and probably should be. This is probably bad asset management from NY though. He probably has better value at the TDL. Clearly Drury wants him gone.

We kind of had to do this since we kept Drury, but I’m very disappointed. A great Ranger. All soured over the odd antics of Drury and admittedly Kreider’s reaction to it. Could be the back is the end for him, but I doubt it.

I hope he bounces back in a big way.

Kreider doesn't crash the net.
