Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Would be interesting, for sure. I mean I'm a pretty big fan, but I honestly had no idea there were multiple professional leagues, outside of the one that's based mainly in the NE US, and the Canadian one (which I thought was folding or something). Unless we're also talking European leagues, in which case I know they exist but know nothing about them.

I would think Kreider should be in that event and hopefully the coaches will see that as well.
I have a question... Is their be a deflection skills competition or am I just hoping that the NHL will include this someday?? gotta deflect the puck but those deflected pucks has to hit the targets . that would be interesting
I can totally see Kreider being the type that overpasses and cycles the puck during the all star game.

We used to have the fastest team in the league with Kreider, Hagelin and McD on the backend. Teams couldn’t keep gap control on us because a lot of our forwards would blow by them. Stretch passes were crazy exciting back then. We still have a good skating team but not anywhere close to what we used to have.

I'm interested to see Kreider in the fastest skater competition, but I think that expecting him to compete with McDavid is a bit much.
Honestly, I'm not even sure if he's a top 10 guy in the league for speed right now.

That would be a cool idea. I would guess that the group of guys who deflect the puck well don't make the All-Star Game as often as their dekeing counterparts though.

Agreed, it's Kreider's speed plus his size that is most impressive. He's a tank but can skate fast too where most fast guys are small and most tanks are slower. Don't see how he can compete with McDavid or Barzal or Gaudreau or the like.
Kreider's acceleration is insane though. Not sure he's great for the full lap thing with going around the net and all but if it was just goal line to goal line I might take Kreider over anyone but McDavid.

Obviously, I am someone leery about the cost and other factors around Kreider under a long term contract.
But that doesn’t mean I am happy to see him go. On the contrary, I am quite sad about it.

I really really hope they offer him something shorter in term and he takes it because he wants to be here. I'm not a fan of when he takes nights off, but his blistering straight ahead speed will be super hard to replace.
plus, the dude has the best goal scoring face, totally on par with my man Prospal

Agreed...Kreider has been a good solider for us ever since he got here and I for one am not going to be happy at all when he inevitably gets dealt.
What would be pretty neat would be if Kreider ended up winning the MVP award as he likely plays in his one and only all-star game of his career.
Put out to pasture? Do you know how ignorant you sound? Guys about to sign a multi year deal for 40m+

I'm with you...he has to be in the fastest skater event as that's what he's known for and is his forte. I'm just hoping that we get a MacKinnon vs McDavid battle royal!!. I actually wouldn't be surprised if MacK pulled off the "upset" and won!!. I really hope we get to find out.

You could be right that Kreider isn't in the Top 10 as there are so many players who have come into the league the past few years who can absolutely fly.
I'd like to see a slight change to the fastest skater event.. I would like the players to have to skate when they had the puck instead of just skating with just their stick seeing that is a more realistic factor when deciding who is the fastest skater.
I mean when MacKinnon has the puck in his own end in games and than skates around opposing Dmen, that is when you really see his speed at work not when he's just skating. I dunno...just a thought.
