But yea it's getting ridiculous, even many of his most ardent detractors on here are dumfounded that he's still a healthy scratch. I just hope there is some sort of better reason than Gallant being a stubborn buffoon, perhaps he was instructed to try & do a brief bulk while he's sitting out. Or there were some things they want him to work on. But from the outside looking in it looks like Gallant is just an idiot.

I’m no VK fan, but I’m certainly glad to second a post that calls gallant an idiot.

It definitely makes no sense that two years ago he looked legit and now he's a nubs. Onus is on him.

Gotta assume he plays tomorrow, no? They haven’t said anything definitive, have they? Even if they’re just showcasing him. Blais sits. At least that’s what I’m hoping happens.

Maybe if a strong breeze didn't knock him over and injure him every game,Gallant would dress him. At this point it looks like the team has no confidence he can stay healthy and in the lineup. Can't say I blame them either

Repeatedly healthy scratching a player who is healthy and available to play because the team thinks he can't be healthy or available to play sounds like a Rangers thing to do.

For a team who is struggling to score, it is really interesting to scratch a prospect who might actually help us score if given a chance. At least he wont be worse than Vesey

i don't know what to think, though i'm not sure there's anything imminent

honestly think his still sitting was about the team playing well out west in sj/la when he was ready, but panarin being so poor lately has more to do with his sitting again after the loss than anything. bumping him up with mika and the play of the kid line keeping them together bumped into a line 2 role makes it tough to assemble a spot beneath that krav makes any sense, at least initially. troch/vesey/goodrow as a combo has a lot of potential as a shutdown line and he just doesn't make sense with the 4th line. if anything maybe you can bump goodrow/vesey down if that line doesn't offer much on either side of the puck and give krav a look there at least with the current setup.

personally i'd love to see a lineup that puts 13-93-24 together. i doubt gallant will give that a look at any point but if there's 1 trio i'd want to see that would be it.

Vesey, while being used out of place and not in the bottom 6 role suited has actually been quite good. Solid underlying metrics and aside from not being a 1RW and being out of place skill wise, his play and intangibles pass the eye test to me.

Sure, be upset Krav isn't in (I'm personally not), but don't harp on a guy whos actually be cost effective and doing his job.

Its funny how out advanced stats are better, we give up less shots, take more, but our SH% is tanking us.

Funny enough, Gibson robbed atleast 2 goals and we hit 5 posts and Trocheck was tied up on an almost surefire goal. Could've easily been a blowout, or a 2-1 win if Halak didn't screw the pooch on one and Igor was in and stopped the other.

Its easy as fans to get worked up and down when you come into a season with crazy expectations and they aren't immediately met. I'm not worried. There is legitimately no way the 7.4 SH% stays that low.

Krav has 5 points in like 22 career games. Lets pump the breaks on him being some kind of saviour.

Sure, he's skilled, but he looked better in his 20 game stinit 2 years ago than he did at any point this preseason or season. Its not like hes a different player from then, if anyone hes worse and more fragile and less effective.

Trochecks line is clearly the 3rd, even if Brooks listed it differently. If you run 10-93-20 and 13-72-24 as the Top 6, I genuinely think we can have a solid top 6.

Trocheck centering Vesey and Goodrow has potential as a solid shutdown 3rd line.

If Panarin clicks with Zibby and Kreids, this could legit be a solid opportunity to find a scoring top 6 and a shutdown 3rd line

If Halak isn't dogwater in 2 or 3 of his games, our record is different and no one is calling for Gallants head or saying the sky is falling on here.

Igor also didn't find his game until just recently. In the twist no one expected, prior to Igor refinding his form, we were losing points due to goaltending early.

Now, we just need Igor to maintain, Halak to find a way to just win the 1st game and go from there, and the SH% to rise to atleast average, if not better with our talent.

We will be fine folks

I wouldn't mind this either.
Panarin-Chytil-Kravtsov (he can actually fit in the lineup this way)
Kreider-Trocheck-Gauthier
Laf-Zib-Kakko
Vesey-Goodrow-Blais
Carpenter

(lines aren't in order just way I thought of them)
