I'm not seeing the same player that most of you apparently are.
he does seem his age. Just not mature
just take a 2nd and ideally a bottom 6 role player if they can get that
I'm not seeing the same player that most of you apparently are.
Yeah I get that Laf is our 1st overall and we all wanna love him, but please. If you think Kravtsov has played dramatically worse than Lafreniere, you aren't watching. Kravtsov has played very well in the minutes he's gotten for us, on both sides of the puck. Let me put it this way - if these two players were drafted in the other's draft position, Lafreniere would be the one in the AHL.
He's milking the 1OA status for everything it's worth. The dude can't finish a 50 second shift without getting to the bench looking like he's gonna keel over and die. I'm by no means saying Kravtsov is a far and away better player than Laf, but they are WAY closer than what you're making it out to be
Thank you, sir! Will, you’re forever home on this board Bud
I do agree that this could work out ok. A trade demand in a vacuum could lower the players value/return. But also it gets more teams to consider a deal and possibly create something of a bidding war. It may work out ok for everyone.I know Rangers fans aren't happy about this development, but honestly a lot are jumping to conclusions. Nobody knows the real back story to any of this. It could simply be a numbers game, Kravstov feels he has the talent to play, but is being blocked from playing top 6 due to the Rangers having a bunch of top 6 forwards. He's not a third line player, this could end up being beneficial for all party's involved, if the Rangers end up getting someone of value in return
Hmmm. I'm leaning towards yes.Is this kid a bit goofy or something?
I don’t have much commentary for this post as I think it’s dumb.Yeah I get that Laf is our 1st overall and we all wanna love him, but please. Either way you slice it, we're going to lose a talented forward for pennies on the dollar here. Due to complete and total organizational mismanagement of draft picks and prospects. Not because Kravtsov couldn't "make the team" over Dryden Hunt and Libor Hajek. Drury tried to be slick and send a waiver exempt player down so that he could try and get a 6th round pick for Hajek. Our rookie GM played a stupid game and won a very stupid prize
There's been enough bad ones here to whet my appetite, thank you. Some pretty bad trade proposals in the Kravtsov thread on the trade rumors board. He who shall not be named chimed in with another winner.
I know! F! I'm so mad. I won't even be able to perform with my wife later.
That’s because he knew Lou would send his goons after him and break his knees. Nobody’s afraid of Drury , Little League World Series ring notwithstandingWahlstrom got yo-yo'd in & out of the Isles lineup last year and shockingly he didnt take his ball and go home. What a concept.
Kravtsov was always the odd man out man out once they won multiple lotteries to draft wingers and signed Kreider, this latest outburst just expedites the process.
If the offer we get for Kravtsov is essentially the 60th overall pick, I'd rather just hold onto him and let him sit there in suspension purgatory. I have no interest in helping him out for basically no return when he refuses to report to Hartford.
How many KHL games have you watched? What an absolutely ridiculous take.I don’t have much commentary for this post as I think it’s dumb.
I’ll stop rolling my eyes when Kravstov’s career highlights are more than just 5-hole shootout goals in Russia and a preseason slap shot.
Have a pleasant evening.
Was having breakfast with a senior guy from Goldman the other day. He was telling me that, when he joined in 1980-something, his boss was a Jewish kid who worked as a bouncer while double-majoring at Harvard; his other colleagues were feisty and didn’t complain when they had to put in the hours and pay their dues. It’s part of the process. You learn. It makes you tough. Now everyone thinks they’re entitled to huge paydays just because they have diplomas from target schools. Clearly that entitled attitude has creeped well beyond Wall Street.
I’ve been harping on this for awhile, and I only half believe it, but the Rangers continue to be unlucky even when they get lucky. The way these last several drafts fell, and the way they were phased with respect to each other AND other roster decisions, could not have been worse from an “optimization” perspective.
2017. Let’s get this kickstarted. Let’s start with a can’t miss, but boring, center in Lias Andersson and then take a swing with our 2nd 1st in Chytil (I’ll take it).
2018. The organization is lacking high end talent after the fire sale. Let’s take the clearly highest upside, most talented player in Kravtsov. In any other year, Farabee just screams Rangers pick.
2019. Kakko. Looking very promising still, but Zegras was the pick had we not won the lottery and there is still a really good chance that Trevor is the more dynamic player.
2020. Critical decision on Kreider. Prospect cupboard seems pretty well stocked. Looking like some decent center prospects will be available where we pick. Let’s key in on Lundell and bite the bullet on resigning a team leader with a unicorn skillset. Win the Laf lottery, immediately regret resigning a winger, find ourselves hopelessly barren with respect to center prospect depth.
This team cannot catch a break, even when they catch insane breaks. It’s maddening.
You’re missing the point, Prince.Yea. Because everything being done at the big banks in the 80's was how it should be done. Give me a break.
You know the Rangers have f***ed up when even ultimate hard ass Rick Carpinello thinks they played this situation wrong

I'll repeat something from a friend who works for another organization. Right, wrong or otherwise, here was his response:
"Part of the challenge for the Rangers with some of these higher European picks has been that they took guys who didn't need to make it to the NHL to be okay. Lias is the son of an NHLer who has lived a comfortable life and could continue to live a comfortable life even if he told the Rangers to go jump in a lake. Kravtsov comes from an affluent family and has never faced the prospect of failure resulting in having to go work in a factory somewhere."
