That can't be right.

Will, you’re forever home on this board BudOmg, I'm triggered by "forever home." My wife makes me watch HGTV with her almost daily, and every other frickin' phrase that comes out of the host's mouth is "forever home." It's worse than bag-skating.
You’ll be sent down and others will take your roster spot if you don’t performI know! F! I'm so mad. I won't even be able to perform with my wife later.
Buried in this mess is this shit tier take
I'll repeat something from a friend who works for another organization. Right, wrong or otherwise, here was his response:
"Part of the challenge for the Rangers with some of these higher European picks has been that they took guys who didn't need to make it to the NHL to be okay. Lias is the son of an NHLer who has lived a comfortable life and could continue to live a comfortable life even if he told the Rangers to go jump in a lake. Kravtsov comes from an affluent family and has never faced the prospect of failure resulting in having to go work in a factory somewhere."
So @Edge Where do we go from here with Kravy? From what you have said in previous posts, this relationship cant and wont be repaired. So what is the type of return we should see on Kravy?
Kravtsov had a spot to earn. He just didn't.Yep, super "shit tier" take. Let's keep drafting wingers and defensemen with our 1st round picks until we have 20 pissed off young talented players with no spot and are forced to trade them for pennies on the dollar. Seems like a much better plan, how are you not a GM?
In the grand scheme of things, management had already moved on from Vitali and Vitali had already moved on from the organization. If Drury is all Drury in the office as he is on the ice, then moving on was always the end result. Too bad it happened in a dramatic fashion like this. Hopefully we get a good return for a younger player so we will have 1 less bridge deal to fit under the cap in 3 years and maybe a center as well.
Kravtsov had a spot to earn. He just didn't.
Yup I remember you or someone saying something like that before as well. But again...know what you're getting, scout the player better, or have a better plan for dealing with anything that comes up related to it
Detroit is “west” enough. Let’s make the Larkin deal happen. The best you can hope for is players in similar situations. Former first round picks from the same general ballpark.
The early consensus is that Kravtsov has the skill to make it and probably could've/would've made quite a few opening night rosters. That helps.
But I wouldn't expect a windfall. So far the interest out west seems to be where the early chatter is.
If only Kravstov (a high first round pick) ever showed literally any of the promise Lafreniere has shown.Kind of tough when you get injured and miss half the preseason, no?
The rules are different for high first round picks. Otherwise Lafreniere's ass would be in the AHL right now too, he did not impress this preseason at all
2nd round pick for Kravtsov?
CJ is using the Andersson trade as a comparable.
Kravtsov has one more year remaining on his NHL contract. This guy is going back home when things don't work out. Can the Rangers get a 2nd round pick?
Buffalo fan trying to dunk on us because of a disgruntled player?
That can't be right.
I'm not seeing the same player that most of you apparently are.2nd round pick for a kid who could conceivably be in a lot of Top 6 NHL lineups would certainly sting.
You know the Rangers have f***ed up when even ultimate hard ass Rick Carpinello thinks they played this situation wrong
If only Kravstov (a high first round pick) ever showed literally any of the promise Lafreniere has shown.
Never even thought about this angle, but it does make absolute sense. Some of this applies to what Toronto went through with Nylander, and what B. Tkachuck is going through with Ottawa. They have fathers, who know the game, and are willing to push teams more. And while Kravtsov doesn't have those NHL connections, he does know he can still have a professional hockey career in Russia should all this go awry in the NHL.I'll repeat something from a friend who works for another organization.
