The Post has also learned the Blackhawks have quite naturally talked to the Rangers about Dylan Strome, Ryan’s younger brother who has been a scratch for the first four games of the season, but there has not necessarily been a link to Kravtsov.

Strome and Kravtsov for Kurashev?

Dylan Strome is good. Not sure why people don't like him. Well I do know why. Because he's slow and below average defensively. Nevermind the fact he scored over 2 pts/60 in back to back full seasons. in 1819 and 1920. He would be a very worthwhile add. He's skilled and very good offensively. Presumably this so-called great head coach Gallant should be able to teach him how to be better on the defensive side.

Only if it means Strome's Mom reads off the lineup again.

I look at Turcotte and I don't see a prospect who has blown the doors off of any level yet. What am I missing?

I was very high on him his draft year, but he's been injured a fair amount - it's kind of stalled his development. I still think there's a 2RW there if everything goes well from here on out - not sure if he'll be a C in the NHL.

Brooks article made it seem like Krav did not see a top 6 spot for him with Laf, Kreider, Bread and Kap on the team. That seems like a more reasonable reason to think you would be better off on another team. Still think he should have gone down to the AHL but more understandable as to wanting a trade.

I honestly cannot blame him. His logic of looking up and seeing all top-two line wing spots spoken for, is evident.

Disagree. Neither Kakko or Laf has set the world ablaze yet, & Kreider is going to slump at some point. Gallant has shown he has no problem mixing the lines up, so Kravtsov sooner or later (my bet was sooner) would've had a chance to earn & keep a spot with Panarin or Mika.

Kravtsov should have been dealt as soon as he declined the workout regimen plan. That's on Drury.

Well, if it was as "contentious" as it was reported, probably - especially given his prior actions / decisions when asked to put in work.

Seems to come off as an entitled kid, even though I could see several cenarios where a player would rather go home - and being allowed to (like Kakko, to train where they are comfortable in the offseason).

The difference is he was specifically asked to do so by the club - and there was likely a good reason why. To push back on it wasnt very smart on his part and yes, it should have been a glaring reg flag for Drury an Co. to start shopping before his value was diminished by a trade request.

He's got great wheels for a 124 year old, though. Not nice to call him slow.

He blew a chance to be on the third line with Blais. They would've been PPG players together.

Yeah but typically you ask for the trade once you are actually BLOCKED. Meaning that he IS (not just he thinks) a top 6 player but people are in the way. The irony is that he might be getting reps now to actually prove it.

The teams where he would make the top 6 might be worse off than even the Rangers are in terms of playoff prospects.

Yeah my God did he ever screw himself. He would probably be getting 16-18 minutes for several games but decided to bitch out the week Kakko went down.

That would've lined up perfectly for when Kakko came back, for both him and the club - his value wouldve been 2x better. And who knows - if he produced and is actually as good as he feels he is he might have taken the spot from him and never looked back.
