He likely has a successor who was appointed his heir to control his business ventures which includes the Kraken.
Maybe a son or daughter, maybe someone else.
The league I assume would conduct background check and vet to make sure his appointed succsessor is not a risk to NHLs re

Bonderman's daughter is already involved as a co-owner of the team since 2022-23 season. So that doesn't change anything there.

His daughter, Samantha Holloway, is already a co-owner and there will presumably be limited change. Some of the minority owners include film producer Jerry Bruckheimer, longtime NHL/NBA/NFL owner/arena builder Tod Leiwecke, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Sounders FC owner Adrian Hanauer, Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, and rapper Macklemore. Some of them might have certain rights to grow their stake in the event of his death, but she's likely to minimize disruption, I'd think.
Outside of the Kraken, did the Bonderman group have to be involved with purchasing the Sonics? I mean, they do have one of the more unique arena management setups in sports. Where, the city owns the land, but the OVG operates the avenue and the Kraken are like the tenant. Agreement had to be setup that it works for OVG, Kraken and future Sonics.
