Frankly I think we will need all three as their ELC will buy us some time to resign the big 3 IMO.

Robertson likely is up with the team next year while both Knies and Amirov are likely a few years away. Of three Knies appears to have the highest upside right now but Amirov has had some terrible luck with injuries and really hasn’t been given a great opportunity in Russia. Most pundits believed he was the steal of the first round so let’s hope that does translate.

Eventually I think we see something like this:
Knies AM Marner
Amirov JT Nylander
Robertson ???? ??????

Where is the option: I like them all and hope at least one pans out.

Or: Why pick just one? <= my favorite

Hmm looks like Knies might be on the US Olympic team, pretty cool actually!

Per Frank Seravalli.. (edit I see this was posted in a different thread too, apologies for being late to the party! lol)

NEWS: Reporting with @chrismpeters, team and league sources tell @DailyFaceoff these 15 players have been invited to play for Team USA

at #Beijing2022 Olympics. List is still fluid, not all have confirmed participation, and @USAHockey is actively adding others.

...and per Ken Campbell, another Leaf prospect possibly joining the team??

Two more players I've been told were added to US Olympic team are Toronto prospect Nick Abruzesse and Montreal prospect Sean Farrell, Harvard's top two scorers this season. USA is going super young and will be tons of fun to watch. Miracle on Ice all over again?

I think that Robertson is the most likely to succeed based on pure hockey skill. I just don't see Amirov's offense translating to the NHL. But I think Knies is the type of player we have desperately needed. Skill mixed with speed and size.

I think Robertson and Knies realistically make the leafs at some point. Amirov is a 50/50 chance.

Robertson. Robertson has NHL level skills and NHL level training ethic. He just hasn't had the ability to prove it this current season.

Then maybe Knies with his skill and size. I know where Amirov was picked, I'm still thinking there are other prospects I rate higher: Niemela and Hirvonen. This is a good thing because Amirov is still a legit prospect.

Robertson. He's had injury troubles but are we already forgetting how this kid torched the OHL ? I think he can be a Debrincat type of player for us.

I think another question regarding these 3 prospects might be which one along with Leafs 1st and roster player is headed to Arizona for Jakob Chychrun or another top 4 Dman upgrade?

I believe one of these 3 players is likely going to be dealt at the TD this year as Leafs stock up for a must win playoff round #1.

This thread topic might have less options post trade deadline this season as such.

Excited to see Knies at the Olympics against men. With his size and frame, if he can add a bit of snarl, he will be an absolute steal (if he isn't already). He could be competing for a job as early as next season imo. Seems like out of the three he's a guy that could fit like a glove on our team. You can leave Bunting-Matthews-Marner together to continue growing chemistry.
You can sell high on Kerfoot to make some financial room to bring back Soupy, and have a second line of Knies-Tavares-Nylander
You can teach him/focus him in on being defensively responsible before moving him in to the top 6, on a line on Knies-Kampf-Kase (re-sign Kase please). Or you bring him along slowly with some savvy vets, and up his minutes by giving him PP time, and play him on a line of Knies-Spezza-Simmonds
Knies is one prospect I can see fitting in seemlessly to any one of those lines, and for that reason he's my pick. Amirov seems like top 6 or it'd be a waste. And Robertson at this point is really more 3rd line that can't stay healthy

What from Dubas' track record measures you think he would trade one of these guys?
By all accounts he nixed the liljegren request from LA and off the top of my head, which is cloudy, I can't think of him getting rid of our top end prospects

From things like this from last year. :)

Dubas would trade a top prospect if the right deal presented itself

Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas discusses where the team’s focus lies with the trade deadline approaching, why they’re more focused on forward depth, looking more for a rental player, and how he’d be willing to part with a top prospect in the process.

If Dubas was willing to part with Robertson or Amirov last year then why not this year when winning a round is even more critical this year?

Thanks.
In that case I'm thinking Robertson holds the most value in trade as he has shown he is NHL ready
