I cannot believe this. It seemed like only a short while ago, Marleau was scoring twice each game and sport pundits were talking about the Sharks and Stanley together.

Maybe if I stop rooting for the Sharks, the wins will come back? Probably head off to my next game in the tank wearing my Skorodenski jersey. Sharks will probably start winning therefore.

Good news is that my "authentic" Reebok asian knock-off jersey arrived. Now that I learned about the jersey controversy after purchasing, I feel like suing Reebok and Sharks for imitation products all the way around.

Found out that only true authentic Reebok jerseys are made in Canada, not Indonesia. Maybe those players are the imitation Sharks? I want the real Sharks players back with their made in Canada jerseys, eh!

c'mon everyone. Even if the Sharks did tank and win the lottery, you know they would end up picking Sean Monahan.

He's the Captain of the 67s. The only way he would be more in DW's wheelhouse was if he was born in Germany and then moved to Massachusetts, turning down a scholarship to BU to play for the 67s.

I don't have a problem with Monahan either. He's NHL-ready, would be our #3C next season, solid upside.

Drouin is pronounced "Dru-AN". So no. :(

It's more like "Drew-EHN" with almost no regard for the "n" at the end So it's a little closer to ruin if you de-emphasize the "i" in it to more of a short "e". I admitted that it wasn't really perfect unless you anglicize the name, but it's as close as we're going to get.

and yep, we've reached the point where discussing the finer points of quebecois pronounciation of a name and rhyming beats out actually talking about the team.

I'm just going with how the Mooseheads' PBP says it, but I believe you.

And yes, finding a good rhyme for Drouin is much more important than discussing the Sharks.

It's only "Drou-An" if you filter the Quebecois through a maritimer accent. a Nova Scotian accent is only a few steps away from a Newfoundlander accent, which is only a few steps away from sounding like Brad Pitt's Irish Traveller from Snatch

If the Oil win the lottery they are picking Jones.

However, if CBJ wins I have feeling they will go Drouin. They have a decent D plus they have Murray from last year.

Yeah, the Oilers have enough small wingers. They need D. Columbus might pick Jo though, they have Murray/Erixon/Johnson/Nikitin/Tyutin on defense, all of whom are decent age, and Johansen as a center. However, they also have Cam Atkinson who's a shrimp, and Johansen isn't panning out exactly like they want, so maybe they'd take Mackinnon. Dunno.

Also, consider Kekalainen, who's probably got a more level-headed vision on Europeans.
