Matt Greene replacement? Has good size, younger, right handed shot.

Muzzin/Doughty
Forbort/LaDue
Martinez/Folin
*Fantenberg/Gravel

Good signing. Right handed shot. Relatively young. Good size with a little upside.

At this point, he is better than Gravel.

Gravel was seriously disappointing in the physical aspects of the game.

A nice add.

He has a good chance to make the team.

Wonder if it gives Blake more options to move a dman for a forward.

Nobody wants Muzzin/A-Mart at their ages coming off poor seasons defensively.

Especially giving up a young cost controlled potential Scorer.

Probably a Zach Trotman type that won't see a minute in the NHL...

He was solid for the Wild as a bottom pairing Defender.

Guy can skate an NHL shift, Plus he is Right handed.

Wild let him go cause they have youth that they think is better.

Oh crap, for some reason I confused him with Mike Reilly

I just had "college free agent who signed with Minnesota" in my mind.

Yeah, Folin could be solid.

This is a huge signing in my book. There is little to no downside here. Solid player and scrub salary. This allows options and flexibility.

Great deal. Especially getting him for free after we were rumored to be trading for him earlier. No risk salary, gambling on upside, can take an NHL shift. I don't say it often, but potential steal.

Good replacement for McNabb.

Also pushes Gravel to get better after being a complete disappointment physically.

Wild fan here.

Folin has middle pair potential, but a solid bottom pair guy. Injuries have hampered his pro career. I liked him, he plays to his abilities and doesn't take shifts off.

He made it to the NHL with pure dedication. He wanted to be a NHL player so he moved from Sweden to the US. Undraftd, tried and failed in the USHL. So he went and played in the NAHL for a season and a half as an overeager before picking up a college ride. 2 college years then signed a UFA contract win Minny.

Folin rocks Kopi (2014) and Richards fights him.

A defenseman of decent size. Has good potential to become a skilled defenseman in the future. Keeps his game fairly simple and uses his body at good opportunities. Has decent offensive qualities, such as his shot, but is at his best in the defensive zone. (Matias Strozyk)
