Write in who should be added next.

Still Prokhorkin. Still add Fasching.

Lol, think me and you are not too popular with our voting recently, stuck on votes and voting in.

I know I will get the "shiny new toy" thing for having voting for Bartosak and Fasching (as well as having Zykov at #2), but I LOVED this draft for the Kings. I had Bartosak at #60 pre-draft and Fasching as an early 3rd rounder. Both of these guys (as well as Zykov who I had at #13) were among my favourites from the draft. Which is why I have them higher than most.

Kings prospect pool is still so deep. Still names out there that have not got any play (Joel Lowry for one) that I like. Amazing considering the success of the team recently to see the depth there. Which is why we are having great debates on these prospect polls.

For the record, just of note, Brandon Kozun will be waiver eligible this year ala Tomas Hickey. He will not make the Kings roster to open the season. Think anyone takes a flyer on him at the start of the year?

We had a fantastic draft for not having a 1st. Fasching is a high reward, low risk pick, which I love. Bartosak to me was a very good goalie who I didn't really think we'd target as I thought we'd want to go with an 18 year old so he was off my radar for that reason alone.

We really are pretty deep. I don't know why but I feel like we could use a quality puck mover D prospect. I know we have guys but I'd still like to add one. We also could really use a center and I think next year that's where we might see an early pick hopefully. But we really do have a lot of guys who I am very fond of.

You know what... Calgary might claim Kozun. He played for the Hitmen and Calgary could use all the help they could get. I'm not sure what their RW situation is but they'd be the team I think that goes after him on waivers.

Agree with above posts. DL said at the development camp that Bartosak is like Quick was, as far as conditioning when they first
had him at camp...that with the training regimen they will put him
on will take his game higher. I had never heard that about Quick. ?

I also recall DL talking about Doughty when he was drafted that
he had never really trained the way he should have. I just read something about that recently, in which Doughty worked hard on conditioning leading up to the draft and dropped 20 pounds.
Anyway, this is great news about Bartosak! This means if he puts in the work on his workouts and gets to where he needs physically, he is going to be even better...not to mention Ranford will be working with him.

Not many talk about Miller or Roach for that matter.

And when people mention Ebert, many state he was the last pick in the 2012 draft...automatically inferring that he is a longshot at best. Who cares if you are a 7th rd pick? There are always a few that are never even drafted and make it. It seems because of Nick going last, he has taken it upon himself to work that much harder. Remember, some ranked him as a potential 1st rounder, entering his draft year. What happened? I have read some things, erratic play, inconsistent, blah blah. Who knows all the factors, really. The fact is now, he is honing his game and Mark Hardy had some great things to say about Nick. Ebert told Hardy he likes Doughty's game...and Hardy told him Doughty is fearless. So as Nick's game develops and he emulates his game as such and plays without fear, that would give him that extra dimension to excel.

Oh, voted Shore. Add Roach

Fasching is going to be up high on this list before the end of next season.

Prokhorkin is probably the guy here, but I went Mersch because the kid has seriously improved his game to the point he needs to be on our radar. I think these 2 will both be nhl'ers

Voted Prokhorkin. Add Roach.

FWIW, I am really hard pressed to suggest adding Fasching any time soon. I love the pick and like what I read, but I also have only seen about twenty seconds of him playing on You Tube. Hard to get a read on a player I haven't seen play live.

I am also very hot and cold with goalies, hence the Bartosak omission. There's so much that goes on between the ears that we don't see, I find it hard to get a good read on them; especially in this organization, who knows how much of a chance he'll get with Quick. But FWIW, Lombardi is very high on him, and he did compare Bartosak's fitness level with Quick's at the same age - he didn't compare upsides... just their fitness levels (this was also documented by The Mayor in his live development camp article, which is when I told him). In this same discussion is when DL also said he would send Bartosak back to junior this year.

Of course, he also said this is with a wait-and-see disclaimer, because they are all very young.

Miller was an honorary mention on my top 10 list I did and Roach wasn't even on that. Roach went from literally zero offense in his game and not even being solid defensively to scoring a ton of points this year. I just need to see where his career goes from here before he move up my list.

As for Ebert, he's just not very smart. He got a lot of hype for having a huge first year in the OHL but that year, he played on a pretty good team with Ryan Ellis, who scored 100 pts as a defenseman that year. His point totals have gone down the last two years, although not by much, but I still don't like that he couldn't improve them despite now being older. By the way, disregard his -39 this year people. Windsor was turrible.

Fasching to me is the guy who will either rise on a lot of lists or fall on them. He's a lot like Kitsyn in the sense both got a lot of draft hype before their draft year and then struggled. But the kid has ****ing impeccable character. I truly hope he succeeds in life, even if it isn't hockey.

Is hardy still employed by the kings? I'd lose a lotta respect for dean if he was. I mean, the guy tried to fool around with his daughter.

I hope he's not in the kings org.

He's a coach in Ontario. And you REALIZE the charges were dismissed, right? Nevermind. Asking too much.

Files dismissed and (from what I recall) they were dismissed because the daughter lied about it as some stupid pay back for something her dad did (which wasn't illegal or wrong).

Campbell is NOT eligible for this list since he does not meet the requirements for a prospect. You will need to vote for somebody else.

This has been discussed numerous times. If I may suggest:
a) either put in the OP each time the players who are not eligible
b) ignore any votes to add said players, since they are apparently ignoring you

There are 32 players in the Kings organization who meet the criteria... and they are all listed on the Kings section here. There are plenty of options to have a top 19, and have 13 prospects battle it out to make #20.

I'm sorry. What requirements does he not meet?

Why is Campbell not listed on HF? I don't understand this at all. He's a prospect because he could very well step in and fill the roster. Why doesn't HF see this?

He's my write-in. No one else on that list is worth the add. Sorry.

HF rules.

If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above.

European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.

You may continue to vote for him, I will continue to ignore it. Your choice.
