Reminder, we are using Hockey'sFuture prospect rules.

Meaning LW Bud Holloway, RW Oscar Moller, D Andrew Campbell, D Andrew Bodnarchuk, C Marc-Andre Cliche and C Justin Azevedo are not considered prospects (this is an all-inclusive list of players not eligible that are Kings property + not on Kings).

It's a good vote. Some say he was the best goalie in junior hockey last year. Went with Miller, but I am voting Bartosak next. Consider he had 5 shutouts, a .935 save percentage...and his backup was 5-10 record, so it's not like the RedDeer Rebels were great - Bartosak was their MVP.

Will be funny to look back on this list in 3-4 years when Mersch is an excellent third liner for the Kings and some of the guys ahead of him have fizzled out.

No idea why this guy is so grossly underrated around here, he has gotten better every year he has been in college, has good size, plays an all around game...just don't get it.

He's around this range on my list. I have Jones then him right now as for who will be getting my votes. I like Mersch a lot. I just think there's ~10 prospects better than him.

I think this board, like many boards on HF has a tendency to overrate Russian prospects. As someone who has been on this board since the late 90's I could list of so many names of Russian prospects who were supposed to be can't miss and they missed. Including many from this team. Volkov, Lyubushin, Schefer, Pushkaryev, Anshakov Fedorov.

I don't know, I haven't seen any of the Russians play in person, we will see. But getting back to Mersch and some other debates on this list, having seen plenty of Mersch, Gravel and Forbort. It's pretty laughable where they are all ranked. The spots in the rankings are probably right, but the players themselves should be different. But Gravel and Mersch weren't first round picks, it's the only thing I can think of.
 
This is pretty good guys, and without divulging too much about our upcoming top-20...pretty close to what I've had scribbled down so far. A few differences of course but for the most part pretty good.

I have my top 20 ready to post but am waiting for this one and yours to go up.

I did a way too wordy write up on each of our prospects including those outside of our top 20 as it will be my last one for a long time. Can't wait to see how each our lists stack up.


We have had a few posters here do lists of their own and they have been great to read too.

This place is full of really passionate and knowledgable posters. Super stoked to be able to read so much excellent stuff.
 
I'm waiting for HF's list to be posted before I post mine too. I have all 32 of them ranked, mostly out of boredom.

Great. Your name was one of the ones I was thinking of when I said that we have allot of solid posters here who have put up their lists.

I get mired in ranking sheets and lists that turn kids into forms and numbers so when it comes to our prospects I usually try to go as in depth as I can. That said I really enjoy seeing what others have to say about the kids and usually learn a thing or two as well.

I stopped at 30 with my list.

I did a good writeup on each of my top 10 and listed 5 honorable mentions. Can't post them though.

lol ok fair enuff What id love to see is a sticky thread with all the write up anyone wants to make. With this sticky it makes it alot easier for trade proposals for the teams wanting a report on how a player plays. this way when someone asks about a player u can just send them to it.
