Thought that was a good first for us less the lack of finishing. This is a tight team, so generating what we have has been good.

Let’s put two on the board in the 2nd!

if the plan is to dump and chase all game it will probably be another shutout, their success rate of keeping it in has to be like 10%. it’s 1-2 passes and out for LA every time

Seems like more and more teams playing us the same way. Clog neutral zone and go into a defensive shell . Wait for us to make a mistake and counter. It’s that or like the Canes do to us. They seem like there is always a crazy forecheck where there is zero time to make a play and there is always a person immediately in our face with no room to do anything . Only a few teams are built like that though that have the speed / discipline / structure to play that way .
We seem to have problems playing against either of those two ways. I like when teams think they can go toe to toe and exchange rushes lol .
Flames / Blues / Caps / Canes / Lightning all gave us fits playing the way they do .

Possible, but this is also just how the Kings play.

Yup . Their roster and how they are coached is to force dump ins and take away any sort of speed and rushes through the neutral zone. Just have to be patient and pick their defence apart . Keep working and draw a penalty or get a cycle game going . It’s hard though as they funnel around their own net and can’t get to the good scoring areas .

Ya for sure . That’s how they are built to play . Counter attack . They move the puck the other way in a hurry
