I would love for a coach to speak candidly on Tatar. From what I see, even when he isn't scoring goals, he is giving 100%. No doubt he makes mistakes at times. Too often he gets way too cute at the offensive and defensive blue lines. But he is almost always a net positive and fairly seamlessly slides up and down the lineup. There has to be something I'm missing that coaches just don't like about him.

This is kind of a meme at this point, but there are other aspects of the game. I don't buy this anyway. He doesn't throw his, but he's surprisingly strong on the boards and battles hard to get to the front of the net.
