The NHL Network is replaying one of the most intense playoff series ever.

On Wens, from 10 AM EST thru 4 am the next day (all day, all night) they will be airing all 6 games of the Kings Blues series and then replaying them.

That was the best playoff action I've ever seen for sheer intensity, non stop action, total tenacity and every player finishing checks. Just a delight to watch and it gives me the opportunity to tape some of the games.

Anyway, for anybody who missed some of the action, this is a chance to enjoy it again.

Well, I can tell you for sure that I won't be watching game 1 or 2. Man those were heartbreakers.

Forgot just how good game 6 was. That Penner goal was pretty awesome at the buzzer. I'm really surprised the nhl network showed the handshakes and interview, they usual cut to another episode of Oil Change from 2012 the second the game is over.

I would consider a 'heartbreaker' being a game that your team deserved to win, but didn't. We must have different definitions.

Re-Watching it I thought ... MAN we're REALLY going to miss Rob Scuderi, unless Willie Mitchell can return at 100% ... but even then, Scud's is just so under appreciated by so many ... the guy was overworked a little this year, and at times looked worn down and in need of a rest, but more often than not he was just so solid and did so many things that would break up plays and save this teams bacon night in and night out. It's a shame for us the way it all had to unfold, wish we could have retained the guy, gotten Mitchell back and then traded Regehr for some help on the wing ... ah well. :(

You can really appreciate just how good both of these teams played when you watch it on tape. Knowing the outcome, you can concentrate on the plays being made on the boards, or near the net, battles you might have missed the first tiime because you were watching the puck.

I was very impressed by from the top line to the 4th, how both teams forwards were so positionally sound on both side so of the puck. Every inch of ice was fought for and if you won that battle, you paid the price. But to their credit, players on both sides never gave up that battle, no matter how many times they paid that price.

I was watching a bit of game 3 this morniing and really appreciated even more the lone goal the Kings scored in that win. Had they not won that game, and 1-0 is that close, could have gone the other way, being down 0-3 would have been a road I don't think they'd have come back from against a team so solid on D.

So watching that goal, and seeing Richards throw the puck on net and then follow it into the crease and become a human pile driver with Blues all over him, him and CLifford redefiing the term 'driving to the net' both of them so warrior like, not giving an inch until that puck found it's way to Voynov. Given how without that goal, the game could have turned the other way, was one of the most crucial goals of the playoffs. The fact they battled so hard for it, made it shine even better. Becaues that is not something you coach, players like that are born for it. Some elite players would not have gone that extra distance.

Watching how good this series was and such skill involved, the ridiculouis pace, really makes me hope that the Kings and Blues meet in the WCF next year.
