First off let me start by saying I don't think the Kings fear facing any team in the playoffs but I was wondering who do you think the biggest threat to the Kings to see in the playoffs would be?

Who would you least like to see and why?

Chicago?
Ducks?
Canucks?
Blues?
Wild?
Redwings?
Sharks?

Chicago. Their record this season coupled with the Kings record against them (in the last couple years) has me a little worried. However, if the Kings play their game, I fear no one. Seriously.

Vancouver and San Jose. All of the normal good regular season teams will go down to the trappers (Phoenix, Nashville, St. Louis and us).

I know no one's mentioned the Blues, but I think they'll be a tough matchup against us. I know we've had our way with the, but they are a team that is very much like us in many ways and I wouldn't take them lightly.

It's going to be much tougher coming out of the west this year.

I'll go out on a limb and say Anaheim. Who know's how a heated a rivalry will play out. Imagine if the Kings lose their crown to those *******s??

Blues, because they will be fired up more than any of the other teams against us.

Sharks, because they always seem to raise their game against us.

Chicago, Nashville, Phoenix, and Dallas.

Despite where some of those teams are in the standings currently, I don't want to see them in the playoffs. Nothing would make me happier than seeing the latter three miss the playoffs altogether and for Chicago to choke in the 1st round.

There are games where Lehtonen and Rinne turn superhuman on the Kings and despite throwing everything at them they find ways to steal games they have no business taking.

Puck handling goalies as a whole really disrupts the rhythm of the forecheck pressure the Kings try to establish, and Mike Smith is one of the very best in the Western Conference at doing that so not having to face him would be nice.

While another battle with them in the playoffs might be fun, having them miss the dance entirely wouldn't be so bad either. At least with that we won't have press conferences with their Captain and Head Coach bemoaning embellishment as their own guys flop and snap their head back... Pot Kettle Black, indeed.

And I don't think the struggles the team has had with beating the Blackhawks needs to be talked about in much depth... Ugh.

Good question, haven't really thought about it.

Three teams I fear the most:

Detroit
San Jose
Minnesota

Not scared of anyone. If quick is mentally and physically ready then I'mnot worried

My list;

1) Chicago
2) Vancouver

Those teams I really want to avoid.

3) San José (still fear them a bit, based on the past)
4) Detroit (one of the teams together with Chicago, I think we got badly outplayed by in one game)
5) Anaheim (easy win)
6) Minnesota (no problems there)
7) St.Louis*/Dallas/Columbus

* After beating the Blues 10x the past 11 games or so, you will see we lose against them now. Eventually that will change at some point, hopefully not these playoffs.

Really interesting what spot the Kings are with two remaining games left or so. In European football you often see that certain teams dont play up to 100% to avoid a particular team. I'm all for that. Right now it looks to be either Vancouver or Minny and I want Minny.

need to wait for last 2 games for that... but dont belive that it will be any room for that.. go for 4th place and home advantage or lose to 6th to play minny? (assuming minny is 3rd)
edit: and to be clear.. i am against any set ups.. every team is so balanced... play as hard as it gets...

Yes it's a bit lousy but I wouldnt be against it. I absolutely do not a 1st round exit as SC champs.

I never liked it that Division title winners are secured of the first three spots. Its an annoying rule.

with the way Quick is playing we need to face a weaker goalie, and right now i think the STRONGEST goaltender out there is Cory Schneider, making the Vancouver Canucks the team i wouldn't want the Kings to face
