Vote for your top prospect and nominate who you want to see added to the poll list of options. Don't forget to nominate a prospect to add!

I will not be using HF's standards for prospects, rather I'll count players as prospects who haven't played a full year in the NHL and appear to not be a slam dunk for a roster spot next year.

#1 Adrian Kempe (55.42% of votes)
#2 Valentin Zykov (54.55% of votes)
#3 Nick Shore (33.87% of votes)
#4 Jordan Weal (58.49% of votes)
#5 Derek Forbort (54.17% of votes)

Thanks again for doing this. Gonna go with Mersch here, add Mistele.

KC is voting for Mersch as well, from the last thread before his roadie:

If forbert wins and it looks like he will can i vote for mersh tomorrow now I will be driving from the west coast starting tomorrow and not sure when i will be on the net

It's hard no to be high on Mersch after his recent performance.

Add Prokhorkin.

I agree. Some of it is recency bias but hard not to be so high on a guy who just bulled his way into massive production when the rest have to show us something.

Mersch didn't exactly come out of nowhere.

He lead the Big Ten in goals as a senior, and was excellent in a very tough WCHA as a junior.

I know the CHL and their video game stats always get more hype, but Mersch was criminally underrated around these parts.

22pts in 20 AHL playoff games. 13 goals.

Maybe he was underrated, but don't act like you saw that coming.

Nobody saw that production coming, but Herby was one of Mersch's biggest supporters, and I had him rated higher than most others had him rated, too.

Yep, Herby's been pumping Mersch's tires for a long time. I doubt he foreseen such a successful playoff but thus far Herby's been pretty accurate on Mersch's upside, so a tip of the cap is due for sure.
