Already being talked about as a steal by WHL fans who have seen a lot of him. Can go back for an overage season to Red Deer or go to the AHL/ECHL if wanted. Real good prospect taken real late. Love it.

Great pick. Ive liked him for quite some time. He was quite easily the best g in the whl this year.
Very unlikely he goes back to w. Almost never do imports play as overagers. Itll be a bartosak v berube battle for backup in manchester and I think bartosak will win.

Jones doesn't exactly have that Starter role nailed down.......He almost got beat out by Manino during the season.

I cannot see them playing Bartosak in Manch. He'll be in Ontario which is their usual plans with their goaltending.

Patrik Bartosak has been the #1 star of the game 9 times his last 17 starts.
In that stretch:
* He also got pulled 2 times.
* He was #2 star of the game 2 times.
* He didnt earn a star while he allowed 1 or 2 goals on +35 shots.
He's an overager but for goalies that's a different thing compared to forwards/defensemen IMO. I've seen two games via streams. The guy gets better when he faces a tons of shots and Red Deer is awful. Your typical Czech goalie.
Anyhow stunning.

Well Jones obviously has shown something in the NHL already.
It remains to be seen how Bartosak is doing at the pro level, certainly more potential than Berube. I dont see a NHL future for Berube anyway, so that's not saying much.

Bartosak, in many ways, isn't too different from Quick. He doesn't have a conventional style; it's a mix of stand-up, butterfly, and sprawling.
His biggest strength, much like Quick, is his competitiveness. He battles very hard.
The high shots against aren't a surprise. His rebound control needs a lot of work, as well as his general fitness. He takes a long time to recover from dropping down.
So, I'd say his potential is higher than Berube, who excels in technical ability. I don't know if I'd say it's higher than Jones' potential, though.
