Vote for your top prospect and nominate who you want to see added to the poll list of options. Don't forget to nominate a prospect to add!

I will not be using HF's standards for prospects, rather I'll count players as prospects who haven't played a full year in the NHL and appear to not be a slam dunk for a roster spot next year.

Berube is lower on here than I thought

Don't see any way he becomes an NHL regular. He is very average at the AHL level. Personally I feel Bartosak has already passed him on the Kings depth chart, or will very shortly into this next season. There's still guys on the list with NHL potential.

Exactly my feelings.

Why exactly does Berube deserve anything? People keep suggesting he's getting shafted but no one can provide any evidence why. Great attitude, has shown improvement, I don't dislike the guy, but he has shown nothing but an every-pro-goalie ability to show flashes of brilliance with inconsistency.

very surprised at the lack of Leslie love so far

Ha, I keep having him "just one more guy" below, but looks like he'll take this one. I doubt it's an ability issue, just have concerns after this last year, which is probably a bit unfair, but he's stuck in the pot with the rest of these mid-guys right now.

I'm actually more surprised by the lack of Austin Wagner love, some folks were calling him the steal of the draft for a bit there. I just don't know what ot make of him yet.

Leslie is one of those guys who is going to have to earn every bit of respect and fan support that he gets. He isn't blessed with a very high end of talent in any aspect of his game but he always shows up when called and is a smart defenseman. I think he will see the NHL as a bottom pairing Dman in 3 years but his heydays are ahead of him. He could continue making giant strides at the next level (like he has since his early days in the kid 67's) or he could have already reached his apex. Like I said above though I think he will make it but it is going to take time. As for pure talent I chose Middleton because he has loads of it. I see him becoming a fan favorite in a couple of seasons and getting his call ups in 3 years, 4 tops. He could be a solid 2nd pairing guy for us down the road as an SAHD.

He is the current prospect pool's Alec Martinez. He is not going to jump out and bite you with any one thing but he is a good solid player.

Agreed. Don't think Berube will see any NHL time in his career. Not keen on him at all.

Seems like a Yann Danis/Drew MacIntyre type who might be able to carve out a half decent AHL career with a few different organizations.

Yeah, that's the only reason I kept bumping him down truthfully. I just kept voting for guys with (imo) higher ceilings, but I could actually see him being more of a chance at a solid career. Seems to have all the tools and a good head on his shoulders.
