they are not just incompentent but also have no sense of humor, trying to sweep their own incompetence under a rug.I was there and saw 2 inflatable palm trees taken away by ushers/security, and also a paper bag that someone in a tropical shirt was using as a mask. That was just in the immediate 3-4 sections I was in/near.
At this point, Pegula is 73 years old, and has been doing this "his way" to some degree (with 2 months of LaFontaine/Patrick) for 14 years now. I don't see him changing his stripes at this point.
Even if they are forced to change, it is going to be a "job title shuffle" that the Bills mastered during the depths of their drought. That will result in another 3-year minimum before everyone unanimously agrees its not working again and they are forced to make some other half-measure change.
Has no one made the, "and how is that going for you?" argument to Tpegs? It's the most obvious answer to everyone but Adams and Terry.

Yah, Kevin should look up Tom Donahoe Buffalo signs apology (which WIlson made him do)Yeah no. When the GM is having security remove items because they hurt his feelings its time to go.
Let the people who are still paying customers have their free speech. I remember old ass Ralph Wilson making a rare appearance when Tom Donahue took signs away from fans and apologizing publicly.
Also good teams pick up waiver players so why doesn't Kevyn? Does he think the roster is set? He is a liar and a con artist.Marino has M-NTC only from this season, there are 8 teams. But I'm not sure he was traded before his M-NTC was activated or not. The most annoying thing is that we could have gotten a guy like Kovacevic in the fourth round, who is currently playing very well in the top 4 of the Devils. A veteran like Jensen would probably also be a good fit for the second pair and playing with Power. But Adams was happy with everything and now he is screwed.
A GM complaining about Palm trees doesn't sound like one thats about to get fired. Its a comfortable response.Yeah no. When the GM is having security remove items because they hurt his feelings its time to go.

I disagree. It sounds like a thin skinned individual who is afraid any additional bad press, more losses, or disastrous transactions will be the end.A GM complaining about Palm trees doesn't sound like one thats about to get fired. Its a comfortable response.
You don't think the palm trees answer is straight from the mouth or Terry Pegula? We will know in about 4-5 months if Adams gets fired of if I am right.I disagree. It sounds like a thin skinned individual who is afraid any additional bad press, more losses, or disastrous transactions will be the end.
A comfortable person doesn't make a big deal out of it.
EDIT TO ADD: KA probably believes, correctly IMO, that he will never see another high paying or highly placed gig in the NHL again and is fearful of losing this one.
with three gm's in waiting he will not get fired but will be reassigned like Matt Ellis was in coaching. The owner doesn't like to pay to fire people. You don't think the palm trees answer is straight from the mouth or Terry Pegula? We will know in about 4-5 months if Adams gets fired of if I am right.

In relation to normal NHL GMs? I agree.Accurate but I doubt kevyn is highly paid
Adams is strapped in for the season no matter how many fans post they want him fired.with three gm's in waiting he will not get fired but will be reassigned like Matt Ellis was in coaching. The owner doesn't like to pay to fire people.
Anything short of firing Adams will be a very low low for Sabres hockey. In the business world you can’t have somebody in the C suite just casually go back to the bull pen as an account manager.with three gm's in waiting he will not get fired but will be reassigned like Matt Ellis was in coaching. The owner doesn't like to pay to fire people.
I think Kevyn's more likely move is to be patient with "his core." Fans do not want to hear it because of the drought, but Adams has been more patient than the fans to this point. It won't shock me if he's getting calls on guys like Cozens and Quinn and he doesn't want to move them out of fear that they pop elsewhere like other talented guys he's moved out of town.Sabres Brass is getting called out on multiple channels now (Friedman, TSN, and even The Hockey Guy) but this is going to be a tough pill.
Terry will need to look at himself in the mirror to admit that *he* is the ultimate problem. Kevyn cannot fix this mess himself, and only has desperation moves left. Adams will more than likely only make this situation worse and the next GM should be allowed to take it from here.
If you don't trade out of fear... Well, I don't know. We need to do something with our top 6 anyway.I think Kevyn's more likely move is to be patient with "his core." It might not be fear, it could be confidence in the talent of the player long term.If you don't trade out of fear... Well, I don't know. We need to do something with our top 6 anyway.
I don't think Adams will survive this as a GM if he doesn't make the playoffs. It might not be fear, it could be confidence in the talent of the player long term.
Adams might be more patient and not have any urgency to try and do everything he can to make the playoffs this season. And the expectation that Adams had to make the playoffs this season to keep his job may be wishcasting by fans more than reality.
I don't think Pegula is judging Adams on his win/loss record even if the fans and media are.I don't think Adams will survive this as a GM if he doesn't make the playoffs.
Only time will judge us. Even if he gets promoted to POHO, it will still mean to everyone except Terry that he failed and will never be a GM in the NHL again.I don't think Pegula is judging Adams on his win/loss record even if the fans and media are.
Pegula has repeatedly dismissed the idea of a POHO and has implemented more flat reporting structures with the Bills and Sabres. I don't think he wants to run his team that way.Only time will judge us. Even if he gets promoted to POHO, it will still mean to everyone except Terry that he failed and will never be a GM in the NHL again.
Well, ok, any other position, but not GM.Pegula has repeatedly dismissed the idea of a POHO and has implemented more flat reporting structures with the Bills and Sabres. I don't think he wants to run his team that way.
My guess is that when the day comes that Adams is no longer the GM, he probably slides to a job either with the Jr Sabres or HarborCenter or on the business side of the Sabres.
