just wanted to throw this out there with all these Miller threads out there... Miller although (so far) at his best at RW could easily be the best 3C in hockey and imo is untouchable, felt he had alot of value at start of season bc of his 20 goal campaign but hes taken his game to another level... he is not a true PP player so him settling into the 3C role of being an offensive third line center and PK mixed in is ideal with stepan and zib occupying first 2 slots and PP time. With this being said Hayes is out of the mix.... what Defenseman would a team willing to throw up for a 6 ft 5 24 year old center with a ppg pace going on?

**SORRY VESEY :( it has to be done eventually

Just because there is an expiration date of a min 2 yrs IMO on Hayes/Vesey not being moved, does not mean automatically they will be moved, either or both any time soon.

Zib
Miller
Hayes
Lindy
Nieves

are making available possibility of Stepan, who is more available, but not being given away

Do you think that the solid play of Miller makes Kreider being moved a possibility in the right deal possibly by mid season? I like Kreider and he started out great but these injuries are starting to be costly and he is being lapped by Miller, who obviously is a smarter two way player with much more skilled offensive upside.

Hayes won't be moved either, not just because of Vesey but because he has been leaps and bounds better than last season.

This is just a value thread. I'm not interested in trading Hayes either, but I am curious how other teams' fans view him and what they'd be willing to give up if he were indeed made available.

How about they keep all their good young forwards ?

They've gone out and signed/traded for players that they know meet expansion draft standards this way we can protect who needs to be protected. I'm thinking they might try and leave Nash unprotected

What is his value? To the Rangers? A damn good defenseman. That is what we need if we are trading him.

I suggested before the season started Hayes for Shattenkirk. I was laughed at. I was told how disappointed Blues fans would be if that is all they got for Shattenkirk. Now, I think I would laugh at that proposal. Hayes has picked up where he left off after his great rookie year and is an absolute BEAST.

If we are 99% sure we can sign Shattenkirk i think we will leave Nash unprotected, not because we want to get rid of Nash but because of our forward depth, only one year left on his deal and the cap relief we would get. He would be the perfect captain for Las Vegas aswell!

You don't let LV take Nash for free. Nash has value. If they want to move on from him, they will trade him.
