At first glance, one might assume that a player who checks in at 6’6” has got to be the tallest player on his team in a league full of teenagers. In fact, at that height, the player is probably always the tallest player in the room, at a restaurant or in a gym.

For defenseman Keegan Kanzig of the WHL's Victoria Royals, however, that distinction finally came to an end this past season. Cool read, thanks for sharing that. I think the 2 biggest things he has going for him is a) his size, and b) his work ethic. Kanzig is an exciting prospect, if he can continue to improve his skating then he could be a nice surprise.

My favourite piece is where, on their official HF profiles, Kanzig is listed as 6'7" and Blomqvist, the taller teammate mentioned early in the article, is listed at 6'6". Though I see that they mentioned in the article where Kanzig divulges his true height, it's just amusing to me.

Still an interesting read. Not sure if Myers is a great comparison to his style/projection. I'd use Chara instead. Both were selected in the third round. Kanzig, like a young Chara, is noted to have great physical potential but needs to work on their offensive game and transitional foot speed in order to possibly dominate the game.
Both are mentioned to be smart players, against the stereotype of just being big-body players.

Not saying Kanzig is the next Chara but I just feel there's better comparisons there.
