Assuming Kane would waive for Tampa, what would be a realistic value from Tampa that could land both Kane and Lafferty
Kane controls everything in this situation. If he only wants to go to one or two places the Hawks don't have a lot of options. With Chicago owning so many Tampa picks, I can't see them helping them much. They don't want them to do well. Unless they are sending them to sabotage... It is pure genius.
Ultimately though, I'm not sure TB has enough assets left to do this? They'd need to dump players + add value for Kane and Laff. Isaac Howard is a decent prospect but that's almost where it ends...
I don't disagree. If it is Tampa or bust, they'd do it. It'll just be a weird return and I doubt they'd include Lafferty just to boost them even more.Kane controls everything in this situation. If he only wants to go to one or two places the Hawks don't have a lot of options.
Is it true Sergachev takes more dumb penalties than Perry? I was reading your guys boards the other dayAssuming Kane would waive for Tampa, what would be a realistic value from Tampa that could land both Kane and Lafferty
I doubt Kane will limit his list of places he’ll go to one team. i believe when he talked about his decision, he mentioned doing right by the team by giving them his decision at least a week before the deadline. So he may feel he also do right by them by giving them options.People are gonna shit all over this but if Kane wants to go to Tampa what are the Blackhawks gonna do?
Either keep him and get nothing, or trade him for the best you can.

could say the same thing about Toronto overpaying for a 19 point forward and a 4th line centerOne good night against Toronto and Tampa fans want him to join their team, despite him sucking the rest of the year. Scared of facing Toronto, Tampa fans?

we can fit both in just moving Namestnikov and Foote in the deal as long as we get a 3rd team in for max retention on KaneWould the Lightning be able to afford both Kane and Lafferty in deal? Would be hard for you guys to fit Kane which would require a 3rd party involved to eat 25% of Kane's remaining cap + Hawks taking Namestnikov and Myers in deal
I dont see how you could afford both Kane and Lafferty with the cap room you have

right now Tampa has 720k in cap. Foote and Vladdy are 3.35m. so Tampa would have $4,070,000 in cap space. Kane at max retention is 2.625 and Lafferty is 1.15. would leave Tampa with just about 300k in cap spaceLooking at Capfriendly it doesn't appear possible for TB to add Kane (50% + 25%) and Lafferty by moving those two
Exactly, they’ve actually done the opposite and helped out TB divisional rivals...With Chicago owning so many Tampa picks, I can't see them helping them much. They don't want them to do well. Unless they are sending them to sabotage... It is pure genius.

Hawks would simply have to be willing to accept a larger package of lesser pieces for the Lightning to have a chance. We don’t have blue chip prospects or 1sts

What if Kane's hip is bothering him too much to play, and he needs a month or so of physical therapy to get it back into playing condition.Looking at Capfriendly it doesn't appear possible for TB to add Kane (50% + 25%) and Lafferty by moving those two
And moving Myers is bigger benefit for Lightning cap wise then Foote
The leafs have done nothing of note since the 60s and you're trying to talk shit to us?One good night against Toronto and Tampa fans want him to join their team, despite him sucking the rest of the year. Scared of facing Toronto, Tampa fans?
Haha anything else we can throw in for you, a new car, maybe a nice steak dinner? Jesus.Looking at Lightning there are really only 4 pieces that are appealing
Lightning 2025 1st
Lightning 2024 2nd
LW Issac Howard
LW Dylan Duke
Maybe C Gage Concalves would be appealing as well he seems to be doing ok in AHL
Cap Friendly Trade calculator doesn't seem to agree with this but maybe its wrong or I am doing it wrong
To
RW Patrick Kane (50% retained by Hawks+ 25% retained by 3rd party)
C/W Sam Lafferty
To
C Vladislav Namistnikov
LW Isaac Howard
LW Dylan Duke
Lightning 2024 2nd
Lightning 2025 1st
To 3rd party team
D Cal Foote
Hawks 2023 4th round pick
Maybe something like this
I would be fine with this deal. Howard/Duke have potential and those picks provide more draft capitol for rebuild effort.
At end of day only really think TB would be in on Lafferty or potentially Domi not Kane

Gotta assume something like the Hagel return [Lafferty ain't Hagel(yet), but Kane included],With Chicago owning so many Tampa picks, I can't see them helping them much...
