My fear at this point is we're running out of GM's who are enamored enough by his athleticism to get a good return in a trade.

Miller's worst career move was moving to defense a position he is not that good at. Who's idea was this?
I don't think he would have been drafted if he didn't move to a defense position. It's probably the best thing that's every happened to him wen you really think about it. Career earning and success probably doesn't come close had he not made the position change.

He is POISON ! ]Looks like the NY lifestyle for young millionaires has sucked him in . We need to get rid of him...and with a team of kids....he has to go soon . He will get worse before he gets better if he actually can . I actually feel sorry for the kid . What a waste.

I can't even begin to understand this comment. He was drafted in the 1st round as a defenseman. there's a negative chance he'd be anything but that on this team or in the league.

why are we talking about him as anything but that...

Idk what any of the NY stuff means...I think he's a good kid who tries hard and is grounded...he's just not talented or smart enough to be an impact player in the best league in the world. even endowed with his size and skating ability, you need other tools he just doesn't have.

He looked better two seasons ago....where did that go ? He used to rush the puck at times....now he is slow on every thought.....something has scrambled his brain . His decision making is way off.....it's not a good look .

From his wiki: "Originally a forward on his youth hockey teams, Miller's role model was Mikko Koivu, longtime captain for the Minnesota Wild. He only volunteered to switch positions while playing for Minnetonka High School, which needed an extra defenseman."

I think part of it is as a viewer you, reasonably, aren't expecting to see rookie level mistakes at this point. Miller defenders are saying it's the rest of the team letting him down LOL. He should be contributing better by now.

The biggest issue with Miller is usage. Miller-Fox were one of the best pairs in the league for the short time they were allowed to play together; Miller and Trouba have never been good together, but we just keep running them back out, because we are determined to play Lindgren in the top4, and pairing him and Trouba would be a war crime.

Sure, Miller makes some bad plays, but the team has the puck a lot when he's part of a competent pairing.
I was just about to post this and then I saw this comment. Pretty much sums up my thoughts. That Tuba-Miller pairing has been an abomination for years. Way back when, Tuba used to play with a young Josh Morrissey. He's a competent puck mover, he's become a point per game player. That's the sort of player Tuba should be paired with. K'Andre has more puck ability but I'd put him in a similar boat as someone you'd want with a better puck mover. Bring back the Miller-Fox pairing, bring back the Schneider-Tuba pairing

Of course the Rangers would draft a dman that hasn't played as a dman for more than a year or 2 at the time when drafted, was playing forward and people wonder why he still sucks. That is the Rangers fault for being awful at scouting future draftees

One of the dumbest metrics you can use when scoring 8 goals put him second for D-men with goals on the team. Fox had 17 goals last year. 6 of those were on the PP and Fox had over 250 minutes of PP time. Miller had 30.

You guys are reaching so hard it's less funny and more pathetic at this point.

I bet you guys are the types that loved the Staal signing for 5.7 x 6 when he put up a whopping 15 points max in those 6 years because even with his emotionless face, he played with emotion.
What is he great at?
