I’m telling you, if you put him next to Fox he will score 15+ a season. Coupled with top tier defense.

To get the looks that Lindgren does on a nightly basis with his shot is formidable. It would also create space for Fox.

Lindgren always gets the looks because everyone knows he won’t do anything with them.

May be a bold take, may not, but I think that Miller is going to be the best black player in the NHL within 3 years. He's that good. The only guy who i can think of that could challenge that is Byfield, albeit with the caveat I might be forgetting someone.

The team & league have a potentially massive star on their hands

Feelin' good on a Wednesday
For being so young and still "new-ish" to the position he seems to play with poise and knows when to jump into the play.

You can see he's watching Foxy and getting the whole concept of knowing who's where and what the defenders are thinking and exploiting it.

Obv defensively he can close gaps quickly and will only get bigger/thicker. I hope he can add that "dangerous hitting" in more and more as well.

It was during OT in game one when it hit me, there was a sequence in the corner that looked like it was going to turn dangerous in front, but Key used that long reach and his strength to totally shut it down. And I realized, am I most comfortable when Key is out there? Like is used to be that you only felt some level of comfort when Fox and Lindgren were out. But now, I only really feel comfort when Miller (and Trouba as well) is out there.

He is one of those players where it wasn't a question of his talent, but if he could put it all together. I thought he had an abysmal start to the season but since has become our #2 defenseman and it isn't really close. At the pace he is progressing, we will have two legitimate #1 defenseman on our team, which is always great when you have the best goalie in the world behind them.

This team still has a bit of maturing to do but damn, such an exciting time to be a Rangers fan.

Thankfully everyone will shutup about trading him, at least until next season when people need something to complain about again. This kid is exceptional. First playoff action and he has been fantastic. He is 22 years old, has a decade of elite play in his future, has his offense slowly coming along, Hedman's offense didnt come into his game until his 3rd of 4th season. I do not expect miller to be hedman, but he absolutely can be hedman lite with his skating, size, conditioning, strength, and evolving offensive confidence. He was an absolute STEAL where he was drafted, and then mix in the fact he has been playing defense for roughly 5 years and all of this is just incredibly impressive. absolutely outrageous that many people here wanted him shipped out even just a couple months ago bc they cant process that player development for young kids includes learning from mistakes.

Also, and continued f*** YOU to the assholes that berated this kid during his live Q&A with the racial bullshit. Love how this kid just keeps going through all and any of that nonsense.

Side note, does anyone still have that picture from two years ago of he and kravtsov out paddle boarding? I think it was an incredible highlight on the conditioning and body development of different prospects and how it can impact their preparedness for the nhl when they step in. what miller has done in general over the past two years has been incredible and his conditioning is a big reason for it.

trouba has historically had severe brain farts, and in the playoffs it has been bad at times in winnepeg, but he has been very good as well. the pairing just works.

F it, I'm saying it.

Key is going to win a Norris.

#ibelieve.
I was curious to see if 2 Norris winners ever played together on the same team. I found 4 times that it happened (I may have missed others).

Doug Harvey and Tom Johnson both won the Norris while playing for Montreal. Johnson won in 1958-59, while Harvey won every other year between 1954 and 1962. They both played together that entire time.

Chris Chelios and Doug Wilson played together in Chicago in 1990-91. Chelios won the Norris in 1988-89 while with Montreal, and Wilson won with Chicago in 1981-82. 1990-91 was the only year they played together. Chelios won the Norris 2 more times with Chicago after that.

Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer both played for Anaheim from 2006-07 to 2008-09. Pronger won the Norris in 1999-2000 while playing for St. Louis, while Niedermayer won in 2003-04 while playing for the devils.

Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns have been playing together for San Jose since 2018-19. Karlsson won the Norris in 2011-12 while playing for Ottawa, while Burns won in 2016-17 while playing for San Jose.
