The Euro team might be pretty competitive? The goalie difference between Team NA and EU would be pretty big.

Oct 1 1992 is the cutoff

Landeskog-Barkov-Kucherov
Hertl-Draisaitl-Forsberg
Teravainen-E. Lindholm-Rieder
Ehlers-Zibanejad-Rakell
Pastrnak-Laine

H Lindholm-Ristolainen
Maatta-Larsson
Brodin-Pokka
Klefbom

Vasilevsky
Jusse Saros
Oscar Dansk

Sure but that period covers half a decade. Russia is pretty boom or bust though.

For the sake of international hockey one can hope that past few drafts work out well. Seeing a good number of Czechs and Swiss drafted in the first round.

Team Russia U-23

Sorokin,Vasilevskiy

Buchnevich-M.Grigorenko-Kucherov
BARABANOV-Prokhorkin-V.Tkachev
KAPRIZOV-Namestnikov-SHALUNOV
Korshkov-Kraskovskiy-Polunin (the best 4-liners -like Telegin)

Tryamkin-OZHIGANOV
Nesterov-Zadorov
Paygin-Provorov
Sergachev

Very good team

You guys are really high on him eh? You guys also seem to have some interest in Slepyshev in a possible deal with us.

What's the report on Buch, strengths/weaknesses?

We have so many fringe forwards, so we don't need Slepyshev. We could've used Yakimov because he's friends with Buch, but from what I understand, he's now back in the KHL.

Yeah, we are high on him. He's been improving since coming over. He's been better each game from the prospects tournament to preseason. Kind of plays like Malkin, but as a winger, and obviously a way less good Malkin.

Think Buchnevich is up with the Rangers or in the AHL to start?

Rangers, I think he's one of our best 9 forwards, but we just have so many players competing for a few spots that its not guaranteed, unless they have guaranteed him a spot. Same exact situation for Vesey.

this team would get blown up by the under 23 group of US, sweden, Finland, ontario, quebec, BC...lol

the North American team was U24 though, not U23. I'm not sure why everyone including media members call it U23.

The Euro team looks pretty good. But I disagree the goalies would be that better for them. Murray just won the SC and looked good at the WC (barring the 4 goals against Russia, but he was hurt) Gibson and Hellebuyck are solid too.

Hah the euro goalies are awful. Maybe not vasilevsky but there's no comparison between the two sets

This team is stronger than Finland and the Czech Republic( WCH) like a minimum.
*Almost all the players o this team are regularly played in the finals of the World Juniors Championship.

ya, and still the same problems persist, weak centers and defense still a question mark until we know more about Provorov and Sergachev.

but this Ozhiganov is an interesting character.
