Haven’t followed up with how their careers have been post draft, but here are some upcoming FAs that at one point or another in their development looked very good:

Ryan Johnson - August 15th
Trevor Janicke- August 15th
Jay O’Brien - August 15th
Patrik Puistola
Valentin Nussbaumer
Albin Grewe

So I know Ben Gaudreau will be re-entering the draft, but if left unsigned will all these guys re-enter as well or does it depend on birth date?

Depends on birth year. '03 born North American (trained) would go back into the draft, ditto '02 born Europeans. But since the Euros had their rights held for four years, they would have aged out.

As an example, of the guys that Calgary took: Cole Jordan (September 2002) will be a free agent while Cole Huckins (May 2003). Cameron Whynot (May 2003), and Jack Beck (April 2003) would go back into the draft pool one final time.

Thomas Milic (April 2003) has gone undrafted twice and is eligible one last time (ranked 28th on Central's final list for North American goalies). Meanwhile Hunter McKown (August 2002) was able to sign as a free agent with Columbus and Collin Graf (September 2002) could have signed but opted to go back to school.

Valtteri Pulli (March 2001) was no longer draft eligible and recently signed with San Jose. Trying to find an example of a 2002 draft eligible European. Using last year's draft as example, Toronto drafted Dennis Hildeby (August 2001) in his fourth and final year of eligibility.

Amazing response, thank you.

Patrik Puistola is a big one expiring… great year in the Liiga with 40 points this season and just turned 22. Edmonton has his rights but he’s under contract in Finland. Someone I was very high on in his draft year.

I can’t believe Carolina doesn’t want to sign Bobby Orr

Jay O'Brien will be a FA. Philly announced they won't be signing him.

Buffalo is confident they'll be able to sign Ryan Johnson, but if they can't they're also fine with him going as FA

If both do end up as FA Buffalo and Philly will get a compensatory pick for the 2024 draft. 32 spots from where that player was drafted since they're 1st round draft picks.

I'm not insinuating the poster I quoted doesn't know, just posting everything incase someone comes in to read this and has questions.

No surprise, but Buffalo actually signed Johnson this morning.

Tschigerl is a pretty interesting one. His production doesn't jump off the page but seems like he possesses some pro traits that would lend to a possible future as an energy guy. Normally would expect to see him signed but the Ducks happen to have quite an abundance of forward prospects under contract at the present time.

He's too slow to be NHL player.

I’d be somewhat surprised and disappointed if the Canes don’t end up signing Robidas. With only a few days left to 6/1, certainly is crunch time

2021 draft picks Ben Roger (2nd), Carson Latimer (4th), and Chandler Romeo (7th) will not be signed by Ottawa

What happened to Grewe?

Seemed like the kind of player that would have carved a niche as a bottom 6 grinder.

Looks like he didn't develop very well.

I'd be a bit surprised if the Caps sign Martin Hugo Haš or Dru Krebs. But I'm not sure either way. Neither has shown anything that makes me think they're a potential NHLer down the road.

Man, that's unfortunate for Philly. It really seems like the two big swings in the 2018 draft (O'brien and Fillip Johansen) were two huge whiffs by Minny and Philly.
