What's false? that Stralman is going to be more effective over the next 4-6 years?

Or that the forwards in SJ carried Boyle thsi past season to a whopping 30+ points?

Stralman is obviously going to be better and it's a shame we didn't resign him. Klein and Boyle are not very good ES players and we lost some depth. However, the forwards in SJ really didn't carry Boyle. If anything, he carried them by putting them in position to get more shots on net than any other PP option.

Lmao Minnesota can keep Vanek. Holy crap with all the whining about Nash, how about a star player that in addition to not scoring, won't even back check.

“@NYP_Brooksie: Boyle agent George Bazos tells Post: "We told teams that if Rangers made offer, decision wasn't going to be about money."â€

Great to hear.

Why didn't we offer him 2 years 2 million then?

Sounds like what an agent says after the fact.

He left maybe 1M on the table. The fact that he wants to play for NYR instead of NYI for that 1M difference doesn't really impress me.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
As per @GMillerTSN, Thomas Vanek's three-year deal with MIN has an AAV of $6.5M. #TSN

Ehhhhhh little too much but not terrible.

It would be much nicer to hear if he was Stralman's age.

Perfect world.

However, for the money and term, its a nice addition. The dude is not the train wreck some are making him out to be.

Veteran presence, throws down if he has to, knows how to run a power-play, and shoots the puck.

uhhh guys I think toronto just gave 3 years to a 37 year old stephane robidas coming off a twice-broken leg

“@AGrossRecord: Remember when the Isles offered Thomas Vanek a seven-year, $50 million deal - and he rejected it? He gets 3 years from Wild at $6.5M perâ€

I'm thinking Richards and Niskanen to TB.

Richards-Stamkos-Callahan line ;P
