IMO both of them need to go.

I especially don’t want to see EP on the Canucks long term. He lacks heart and any real push back. Miller's proved that he could go head to head with McDavid and MacKinnon and other top players, and hold his own, which is something EP could never rise to. He’s just too soft.

Last season, EP had to be threatened with a trade before signing his top 5 cap hit extension. And then he completely disappeared in the playoffs. The Canucks pushed the Oilers to Game 7 with their backup’s backup, and almost every player stepped up. Except EP.

If EP had even played at an average level, the Canucks likely would have beaten the Oilers. We don’t know what’s happening in the dressing room, but if I were a teammate, I’d be pissed. IMO he's one of the reasons this team's in the dumps this season. They don't stick up for each other and there's a weird lack of chemistry compared to last season.

Teams value players differently, they lost a playoff bull in Rantanen and replaced with a fast but pretty soft player in Necas. I could see a lot of the old guard types wanting Miller over Necas in a playoff series.

Yeah no one has said anything but Sid makes way more sense to link to them than Miller is. I can't see them going after JT Miller unless they're absurdly fed up with the turnstile centers they've had since Kadri's departure after the Cup win.

Yes, don't think that core would like less kicks at the can for Cups. They'd be better with Miller/Necas for a few years until Miller tapers off.
