Miller is the type to tell his agent: I'm not leaving for anywhere but NYC, and then not budge and yell at his agent everytime he brings up Carolina or Jersey. Rangers obviously offered dogshit, and Allvin had to hang up and move on. Canucks and Rangers are now playing chicken with their respective seasons. If the Canucks can turn things around before the deadline, that probably helps Miller's trade value. Or if Miller has a big Four Nations. If Rangers go on a skid, it probably helps Miller's trade value. If Canucks' problems continue to get worse, then the Rangers think they'll get Miller for their bad offer. Canucks are also hoping Miller gets desperate and waives, but I imagine Miller is thinking "this is why I signed an NTC, I have every right." Canucks probably have to look seriously at moving Petey, and keep the media out of it.
