Hi Washington fans!

Just for the record, Vancouver loves OV ! So there is nothing you could say to us, that would change that!

This is not a proposal, because I am not sure what your time line is, in accordance with OV's needs????

I personally think JT Miller to you guys, really helps your Cup chances for this year and next.......................

So would you be interested at Miller at 50% retained, and what would you give up? The thought is Miller

retained is a cheap deal, and depending on who retires, there is the possibility that you re-sign him........

Thoughts? Offers?

I'd move him at full retention for Connor McMichael. Not sure if Washington agrees.

No, no they don’t.

Washington is in no position to make a trade to “Go For It” or go “All In.”

Given the Caps current status and level of play lately, they have no reason to be making moves to shore anything up for the playoffs at the expense of Premium Futures.

Miller seems to have found himself in Vancouver, I doubt the appetite is there for either Miller or the Canucks to stir the pot.

I'm guessing that because of Miller's contract situation and reasonable cap hit, the asking price should be fairly high. Guessing 1st, good prospect and a smaller piece. I don't know if Washington pays this but I think somebody will. Not even sure that Canucks need to retain.

I think it could happen as long as Caps and Canucks can agree on the prospect. It would have to be one of McMichael, Protas, Alexeyev or Lapierre.

The Caps should not do any of these. They should not be in the market for Premium additions, the team is not good enough to be wagering those assets for older guys they can’t retain. Caps fans can see this clearly. The team should let other teams make this type of desperate High Stakes gamble, the Caps should stay far away.

I'm a Caps fan and I can't see it clearly. It's really just your opinion.

I like Miller, but I don't see the caps paying the price for him. The fact that he has another year on his contract may actually be a negative for them, as they already have a solid top 6 signed for next year without the cap space for luxuries.

Now, if you want to talk Demko, I'm all in. (But you're not, and reasonably so.)

Have you watched a single Caps game since mid-Nov.? Tell me which Playoff Bound team do you think the Caps could beat in a 7-game series Right Now? I’m not confident theres a single one.

So whats your suggestion what Caps should do? Nothing or full rebuild? Neither of those options really help the organization to get closer to the cup so I dont see it clearly as you say, no matter how bad our play has been for the past month or so.

Help upfront is exactly what we need, and not the futures. If Someone offers us a top6 guy with term and 50% retained Id say we are crazy to ignore it.
Guys like Protas, Alexeyeev should definately be in the discussions, maybe CMM and Lapierre too, in moves that really make the team better for the next 2-3 year window.

I dont really like JT Miller, but that might be just because I havent seen him much at all since his TBL days (because I pretty much only watch Caps games and havent seen much of Canucks couple last years). Versatile PPG-player sounds pretty much exactly what we need right now though, and for getting one at 2,6 mills for the next season and half sounds pretty sweet.

Id say if 1st+Alexeeyev is enough im all over it. CMM straight up, ill consider it.
