He was playing alright until the first goal. As soon as he scored that... Every time he touched the puck he was like a huge ass wolf running straight at you.

His game is pretty simple: take the puck to the net full speed ahead. Or if he doesn't have the puck, go look for garbage around the net. Also if he can ever get open again in the slot he has a good shot.

Those things better create something, because there won't be any other facets on offense.

sure but once the whipping boy microscope is out every little thing gets blown out of proportion. It literally happens all the time on here.

Not saying he wasn't bad and I don't love his hockey IQ but when this board doesn't like a player they SURE do pounce. And hey if that's how people want to do it, that's fine. Just a question of style I guess?
I want to like the player. That's the thing. He has the tools to play every game like tonight. He just.... doesn't. Whether it's being lazy, low hockey IQ, whatever. He can be the most dominating player on the ice every night but it's so rare.

And he's not skilled enough (like a Toffoli) to have a mediocre game and still put up points.

When you sign someone to big money and they don't produce... Of course they'll be a scapegoat.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes going forward. Still paced for something like 25+.

Honestly I'd still take him over Gally. Gally's more consistent in his effort but his effectiveness just seems limited. Anderson can make things happen out of nothing.

But you'll get no argument from me that he needs to be more consistent. He could've been fighting injuries on and off. I do think he looked better at the beginning of this series. He was at least moving a LOT better from what I could see.

He played like a norse god in game 1 of the playoffs. We'll see long term if he has Bourque-itis or maybe he was fighting through some stuff.

5.5 is mid money, 8/9/10+ is big money, 1/2/3 is low money.
No need to hyperbole.
Lazy lol.
Mid money players won't be the best player on the ice every night as you would like or expect.
That's why Price gets the 10 plus. He is expected to carry the team.

2.7 to 3.5 is mid money.

5.5 is really good money, but not big money as you say.

You said he gets big money is what I responded to. Your post n your words.
Now it's good money. Whatever.
Whatever ya wanna call it the expectation of a player making that cash is not to dominate every night as you posted. No he doesn't have the skill to dominate every night esp when dealing with injury as you posted he could do. If that was the expectation he would be making 10 plus lol.
Really no clue. Even without points and dealing with injury he can still contribute in a positive way. Guy earns his contract

I don't agree that he's supposed to dominate every night, don't think I would have posted that.

If he's injured everything's a different story. But what is your source that he's injured?

Ok you said he gets big money lol.
Wanna break down the levels for us?
What is super big money.
Big money.
Really good money
God money.
Mid level money.
Sub mid level money.
N whatever other level ya want lol.
And you should try n stick to ur own matrix and not exaggerate your own metrics

oh man. Whatever vocabulary we use, 5.5M is a lot on the cap if the player isn't producing. There are 23 players on a roster, the cap is 80M, 3 point something is the average.

Again Natey called it "big money" and it isn't big money. I pointed that out is all.
Said he doesn't contribute, but he does even without points.

Earned his contract this year easy. JMO. And has produced this year and been a net positive.
Compare his salary to his peers in league n it's just fine. ( term/value/potential/age ect....)

All I can say is I hope he is fact injured as you said. Because I'd like more than he gave us innthe 52 games before tonight, after his great start.

I hope every player on the Canadiens gives us more as a fan ;)

You can always squeeze a bit more paste outta the toothpaste tube! Everyone can be a bit better.

THIS is the Anderson we’ve been needing. Doesn’t have to be pretty but those goals happened because he asserted himself and drove that net.

Lets hope he keeps this up. This is the Anderson that CBJ fans said that TB had now answer for. And this is the Anderson who looked unstoppable in Game 1 against the Laffs. Just keep it going, big man.
