We don't. 5 points in 33 games now to go with 4 points in his last 23 playoff games and a -10.

But he played solid enough tonight. If he plays this way for the rest of the series, he'll be tolerable. Still a really mediocre hockey player overall though for his salary.

He's not a points machine, fair enough.

But take him out of the lineup, and we get a LOT smaller on the wing...

Each of KK, Byron, and Anderson are giving us good things individually. But they aren't good as a line. If you don't want to break up the other lines, one has two come out, even if they're all individually good.

Anderson's lack of scoring goes long before that line though. If he was chipping in here or there, it would be tolerable.

But there's a reason he's pretty much our least used forward every game. And it's cause he's the worst one.

Then, imo, Byron has to come out. We need a 3rd line that can connect two passes and have some o-zone time.

He needs to produce something for that contract. 6 more years of a 30 point player making nearly $6M.

If he was at least good defensively, it would change things.

Still he played solid tonight.

Two goals tonight. Both were gifts but he's played two really decent games. Keep the production coming.

Remember folks, its Anderson and Byrons fault
I mean... Anderson has been terrible. There's no other way to put it. 1 goal in 24 games. 5 points in 34 games or something.

But at this point all that matters is each game. If he can put together a few more good games... That would really help this team.

Anderson has played well two straight games. Keep it up.

You guys vastly overreacted. He was never Desharnais or Gomez level bad. He wasn't actively killing the team even when playing poorly.

yeah I mean he should've been better but yeah overreacting is a thing on this board sometimes. There's one thing criticizing a player but the vitriol lol. The punishment just rarely fits the crime on here

5.5M and 5 points in 34 games.

Punishment deserved in a salary cap era.

However, games like tonight deserve praise. And he should get a lot.

When this guy remembers how big, strong and fast he is… wow. Guy has been flying since game 2.
He was playing alright until the first goal. As soon as he scored that... Every time he touched the puck he was like a huge ass wolf running straight at you.

Someone(s) has a narrative lol, n feels the need to pump it constantly
Thankfully the staff stuck with him in spite of a of injury/ low point production as a bunch on here would sat him for Tatar.
Even without the pts he did contribute at times unlike the invisible PO man.

sure but once the whipping boy microscope is out every little thing gets blown out of proportion. It literally happens all the time on here.

Not saying he wasn't bad and I don't love his hockey IQ but when this board doesn't like a player they SURE do pounce. And hey if that's how people want to do it, that's fine. Just a question of style I guess?
