John Tavares is in the midst of a transformation from superstar in waiting to legitimate NHL frontman. Entering Saturday the New York Islanders centre trailed only reigning Rocket Richard Trophy winner Steven Stamkos in goals and, if this was a regular 82-game season, would be on pace to score more than 50.

at this point I would trade Strome/Nino + 1st in 13or14+ for Bobby Ryan just so Johnny could have a legit winger....I would even throw in Okposo

I'd do it, but how much longer is left on Ryans contract? I'd rather us just try to get a good winger in UFA by throwing the bank rather than trading assets.
